2016 Election

LEt's see.... ummmmm he personally has a bigger carbon footprint than many third world countries, yet he is the poster boy for liberal global warming conspiracy theorists for starters. Al Jazeera America for another. The list goes on.

That's a pretty weak set of criticisms, quite frankly. I agree he may be somewhat hypocritical about climate change and reducing one's carbon footprint. I don't see how Al Jazeera America could be a detraction to anyone's record, whether or not you agree with them and despite the Peyton Manning scandal (which, by the way, appears to be picking up some steam again). That's a pretty weak argument against Gore.

I dunno. It's a toss up. Dumbo has ruined the economy, healthcare, the country's status around the world....

I know you've never been one to let them get in your way, but most statistics and facts disagree with you here.

He's a politician. They say whatever they think the voters want to hear.

Of Trump, Cruz and Rubio, Marco would be dead last in terms of warmongering rhetoric.

Maybe it's just campaign season hot air, but, when I listen to Rubio, I hear the haphazard ramblings of a Dick Cheney, Jr., a man lacking in any coherent, responsible foreign policy other than "big stick" waving. I hear a man who is so grossly misinformed about the world and America's place in it, it makes me wonder how it's possible anyone takes him seriously concerning any other topics.

I'm a poltical science and International Studies major. I look at policy, break it down look at policy and number treads, study campaigns etc. 2016 was supposed to be the year that the Republican Party stopped being the party of "old selfish white people who only appeal to the to old white people." This was suppose to be the year that the party "Expanded its tent" to include a more diverse voter rolls. This was the year the Republican party had a chance to hold the Senate and the House and win the White House and actually implement major policy changes. Trump as the frontrunner has thrown every chance of holding the Senate into chaos, and will barely hold on the the House. Instead on taking 2 steps into the future the party has taken 10 steps back into the 20th century. Now instead of looking like a political party that had learned its lesson from the past it looks like a party that learned nothing. A party that was suppose to make a case for conservatism to a new generation of Americans can't do that. A party with the chance to set it plans out on how it would make life for the average American better can't do that now. The chance to set the country on a different course and direction is lost and thus cannot win the election with Trump as the nominee all because some people believe that being loud and angry with no proposed ideas to get anything done is the way to go.
OK. So you can back up your bashing of Trump. What is your assessment of Cankles? You think she is gonna be any better in changing the course that the country is on? How could she be when her campaign is all about continuing the policies of the idiot king.

If there is no indictment for the mishandling of classified information by March 1st then she will be beat Sanders. Do I think she can beat Trump yes I do. It would be a much closer election that would come down to states with large African American populations and whether the single female vote turns out like in 2012.. Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania. Hillary isn't a candidate that will make major mistakes in the general election campaign trail and knows how to take every gaffe made by Trump and instantly turn it on him. Like they say she and her campaign are machines. But if Sanders wins the nomination it becomes 2008 with Obama's 2012 ground game. Sanders will mass the same type of "Obama coalition" and if his ground game if better could turn the youth and African American vote out better than Hillary can. Neither of the two set America on a good course that's why it was important to nominate a candidate that can set contrasts: Age, lifestyle, their experiences growing up. Those are the simple contrasts that can go along ways. Then the more complex policy contrasts: making a case for conservatism, foreign policy how to get the U.S. to adapt to the international economy, tax policy, how to prevent corporations from leaving the U.S. and making a case to the American people to the point that they can compare and contrast the complex policies of the Republican candidate and Hillary or Sanders. The Dem candidate start the general election with no less than 247 electoral votes. The Dems only need 23 to win while the Republican needs 64. It will be harder to flip states then it would be to hold them this election cycle.

I wonder if some of our Trump supporters on here will do something like this:

If some of you can rant and rave endlessly about how awful Obama and Hillary are, why can't I have a few moments to criticize one of the worst human beings that has ever polluted this great nation?
Obama is the current President and Hillary is running. Cheney is in the past. Get over it.
