Trump keeps gaining in numbers. So called experts have been saying Trump has reached his ceiling since he was broke 20%. I saw a poll one day this week where he is at 48% in Florida. That has to be a slap in the face of Jeb and Rubio. If Trump wins Iowa, I would not be surprised to see him sweep the primaries.

I agree, I kept thinking he has hit his ceiling and up until about a week ago I didn't believe he could win it. All but 3 need to drop out

While there have been plenty of political endorsements this campaign season, there have also been a few disses. One of the most recent was from former Kansas Sen. Bob Dole. When speaking about Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, he told The New York Times, "Nobody likes him," referring to members of Congress. The former presidential candidate issued a warning that the party would suffer "cataclysmic" and "wholesale losses" if Ted Cruz is nominee.

Did you have to read what Bob Dole says to realize Cruz would be a disaster for the GOP if he were to be nominated?

You should have been listening to Gramps, he has been telling you Cruz cannot win the general. Start paying attention. :)

Gramps and Dole are alike in 5 ways.

1. Both are dark headed or were.
2. Both are old, Dole being older.
3. Neither likes Cruz
4. Both are very wise
5. Both refer to themselves in the third person.

Trump will pick up Democrat votes because he is a lib per her record

Cruz will not pick up Democrat votes. Many republicans and zero moderates will not vote for the Canadian. He would lose the general in the fashion of Goldwater and Carter.

You, and others (including Bob Dole), are very wrong about Cruz.

The ANGER is extremely deep and wide. The Silent Majority is going to shock you come election day.

The are only 364 days until a Republican occupies the White House.

It looks like that "silent majority" you speak of has boarded the Trump Train.

When the general election comes to pass there will be a CLEAR distinction between the democrat and Republican nominees, no matter who the nominees are from each party.

This clear distinction between the two presidential candidates did not happen in 2008 or 2012, but it will be crystal clear in 2016.

Unlike the jokes that were given the Republican nomination in 2008 and 2012, (John McCain and Mitt Romney), the Republican candidate in this presidential campaign, whether Trump or Cruz, will be an attack dog.

Obama 2.0 simply is not going to happen with either Cruz or Trump (my choice) as the Republican nominee.

NATURAL BORN U.S. citizen to me means the opposite of a NATURALIZED U.S. citizen. Cruz was a citizen the day he was born, as was Obama, IF he was indeed born in Hawaii.

As Trump says, there is a cloud concerning Cruz. What the correct answer is I do not know. This is an issue that the courts will gave to decide at some point.

I'm starting to see a pathway where Biden is the next president. It's built on Hillary being forced out for legal troubles and Bernie having insufficient electorates to secure the nomination. If Biden goes against Trump and possibly Cruz I can see the moderate vote swinging to Biden.

Him staying out of the primaries may be the smartest move he made.
