I see. Trust the government because they know best and there isn't any contrary evidence to dispute it. Doesn't matter this report came during the Obama years when enforcement is at an all time low.

So what's next? Are you going to say the Patriot Act was justified because of the terrorist threat reported by the government?

That is interesting.

The amount being spent in welfare, food stamps and other benefits is more than any costs you have mentioned. So the unfathomable amount of money will be spent in any no matter which road is taken. You can't work at the welfare center unless you speak Spanish. Locally there were 300 new students in our middle school who had not made application in advance. What is the eventual cost of this? More buses more teachers more administration and what is the benefit? Those who think we are saving money and being kind are just kidding themselves. Who is adding all of these indirect costs up? Racist, give me a break.

Other than a wall, none of that sounds like security. Millions of positions are not going to get filled. Are you on crack?

Rand Paul is very serious about border security.

Oh really? What's the unemployment rate in the African-American community ? I'll give you a hint ,it's more than double than the rest of country. We have 93 million people are out of the damn workforce, are you the one on crack? 😜

Unemployment rate is not high among the legal children of illegals. When people theorize they are mooching is it ignorance or straight up racism?

That is totally false, you must not know any immigrants. My wife is a legal Chinese immigrant and they have a large informal association here in Knoxville. There is so much information being documented and passed around about how to cheat the welfare system, the tax system, The healthcare system and the immigration system. The Hispanics have the same information available to them. Cheating I would say is rampant locally and nationally. They are laughing at us actually. One guy came here on a visiting visa, started working as a cook and accumulated credit cards totaling $50,000. He maxed them out and went back home. No one is looking at the actual cost as it would be impossible. Trillions overall I would estimate.

You're trying way too hard.

Why would the government manipulate data to show it costs more than it does? First of all, who are they trying to fool? Second, they underestimate the cost of everything. If history is any indicator we should double the estimated figures.

You keep mentioning this. Where is this monetary figure you keep plugging on about?

Hey Grand, if you cops spent time actually enforcing the laws and arresting the business owners that are hiring the illegal aliens instead of chasing down reefer smokers, jaywalkers and loose cigarette sellers, there would be less traffic coming across the border because of diminished demand for their labor and we wouldn't have to worry about deporting as many in the first place.

You said legal immigrants. Now blacks? Changed your tune.

So the current unemployed are gonna be the cleaning ladies at Motel 6 after mass deportation?

Why is a CC company getting scammed my problem? That's on them and their ineptitude.

This all sounds like issues unrelated to immigration. Deportation can make immigrants go away but people will still be cheating the system.

Seems like that business owner needs to be arrested and the credit card company needs to just suck it up.

Yeah, that's the way it works...

Speaking of trying too hard.

Wait... so hiring illegals isn't the source of the problem? How do you address these business owners causing the problem with illegals coming over in the first place?

Sure, that's part of the problem. And the solution of E-Verify has been mentioned already several times. And is a real solution that's in place and reasonably easy to enforce.

But it goes beyond that to enforcement and securing our borders. And sending back those violators that are caught. And, as stated before, reforming welfare so those that abuse the system are unable to just "look" for jobs and actually work for a change.

Hard for cops to go after employers when the system is against them. And you obviously still need an education in law enforcement work if you can't make the distinction between a beat cop and a detective.

But then you would be going after whites.

Well, I guess we can't none of that going on...

I guess we should continue harassing reefer smokers, drivers with busted taillights, loose cigarette sellers, $5 shoplifters, illegal lane changers, drivers making rolling stops, bird flippers and back talkers and eye rollers instead of business owners that hire illegal aliens, fraudsters and counterfeiters.

How so? Can't cops aggressively use "probable cause" if they go to a construction site or a restaurant and see a large number of Latinos working? I mean, you cops profile people and use probable cause to justify harassing drivers when you want to make a drug arrest. Why not use those same tools to go after an employer?

Why would a government agency fudge figures over something they didn't want to enforce and something the political masters tools them to slap a large price tag on in order to make it unappealing?

You're smarter than this.

I don't wanna go after biz owners. I wanna live in a free country and that includes a free market for labor.

That is a fair position to have. But we have laws on the books... and they need to be enforced. We just have cops that are selective in which laws they are going to enforce and which ones they are going to turn a blind eye to. Seems to me that with the amount of illegals coming in, it shouldn't be too hard for a beat cop to do some simple police work and determine if a business is hiring illegals or not. If they can ask a driver for his license and registration, then they should be able to do it to an illegal worker or business owner.

So you support profiling?

And you're still ignorant of law enforcement work...

I really love it when you bring in your hated of law enforcement to an unrelated area. It tends to weaken the other arguments against.

So please, keep doing it.

Meanwhile, you didn't answer the question. If you can harass the daylights out of American citizens that are driving freely on the highways, then why is it unrealistic for you to harass illegal aliens or traitorous business owners?

Not really... but if profiling or aggressive tactics are used to enforce federal drug laws, it just amazes me that this same amount of zeal isn't used to enforce Federal immigration laws.

So you can point to situations in the past few years where federal immigration laws have been ruthlessly enforced? Or agencies have been allowed to go after the root problems? Or the Justice Department has gone after sanctuary cities as they have after gun manufacturers and dealers?

So either you support profiling all the way to include racial and ethnic profiling in cases other than immigration and make the politicians get out of the way or not.

No, I can't... that is the point I'm making. There is no aggressive effort to enforce those laws.

Yet, there isn't a day that goes by that you don't see cop cars between Dickson and Bucksnort on I-40 looking for "drug cars" and what not.
