Nice try. You've already had this conversation with me. Did you even really look anything up last night. I'll reference what I referenced the last time you asked this.

And then you'll respond by saying, "Yeah, but most of these things didn't pass because the Republicans I support opposed him."

It's a hell of a stalemate you got going.

Hell off a whiny ***** attitude you got going on. I understand why Paul appeals to you.

It's simple, if he cannot sell his ideas to the American people or his own party he can't do anything. He doesn't have a record of accomplishment to run on so he needs to have a PLAN. A plan that he can sell, a plan that will get this country back on the right track, not just piss and moan because nobody is listening to him.

I don't want a POTUS to rule by EO, we have that now, I want a POTUS that can convince people to get behind him and get his ideas enacted. A doer and not just a talker who blames others.

And predictably you go to "whiney".

He has trouble selling the party on his ideas. The public can easily be swayed.

He won't rule by EO. He is saying he will repeal them. He is exactly what you are asking for in that regard.

How do you not understand this?

Have you looked at his poll numbers?

He can repeal all of the EOs he wants but he still has to get budgets passed, he still has to get any treaties passed or repealed through congress, he still has to get approval for wholesale FP changes, tax reform, reign in the EPA ext, ext.

He can't do it by himself unless you want Obama 2.0, I have a pen and will use it.

OK, but what doesn't make sense about any of this is why he couldn't at least get the same deal on say the EPA budget as a Rubio or someone else who doesn't really care about fiscal conservatism? Maybe Rand can't get the deal he wants, but your argument doesn't hit because he can still get us the deal the other guys won't.

BTW, I don't think you understand how it works....if we have an executive who won't sign off on spending, nothing happens. That's a great thing, IMO.

Congress would have to either give him a deal he wants or come up with a deal that satisfies 2/3 or nothing gets funded.

That's a great position to be in, for fiscal conservatives, IMO.

No it's not! That's idiocy, shutting the government down does nothing but hurt the country economically.

It's not me who doesn't understand how things work.

It's the way the system is supposed to work. Checks and balances.

You are unwilling to go through a little economic hardship to get responsible government in return. That's sad.

In case you are wondering how we got big government...

Let Paul put out his plan and we'll see what I'm willing to suffer through. I'm NOT willing to suffer through total gridlock.

Again, you would rather put debt on your children and grandchildren rather than go through a little bit of hardship now.

Just think about that a minute.

Since RP hasn't released a plan of action we don't know what level of hardship and for how long we would have to endure. So far it's been soundbites.

He doesn't have a record so he needs a realistic plan. Why is that so much to ask for?

Thanks I'll read through it.

Could have linked this a page or two back.

Didn't realize people that had read up on Paul didn't know he had presented an impressive budget. :)

Lots of cuts.

BTW, I've been talking about his budget since the last debate.

I did google him and never came up with this. I've skimmed through, he has a few good ideas others I vehemently oppose but I'll read it in depth tonight.

When you read Paul's budget, see how much money he saves by letting convicted felons out of federal prison, and how much money his budget saves by granting amnesty to 30 million illegal aliens.

Ted Cruz and Donald Trump will be appearing together at a rally against Obama's Iran nuclear deal.

Cruz is biding his time, waiting to see if Trump fades away, then pick up many of his supporters if he does.

You are a true Paul believer.

Actually, I am not. I have a lot of complaints about him, but he is clearly so much better than everyone.

If the R party has the potential to actually ever be relatively fiscally conservative, they better show it by supporting Rand.

If they don't, they will demonstrate to me that there is no hope for the republican party.

That is why I get worked up about it. Trump is proving just how big of a joke the party and American politics are. Rand Paul is John Adams. Who cares if he doesn't get along with people? Who cares if he isn't your ideal candidate? He has real ideas. He is a real statesman and a policy wonk.

I wouldn't compare anybody else in the field to a founder. Not even to founders I didn't like, like Alexander Hamilton. Even though he was wrong on nearly everything, IMO, he still had more quality than all of these guys.
