2016 Election

True. It's happened a lot in the midwest

It is and has been happening everywhere. The DEA crackdown on doctors who over prescribe already happened. Just as we invaded the most illicit opium rich region on the planet.
I watched good people with legitimate health problems turn into junkies because their doctor was in trouble and anyone associated with him/her was subsequently blackballed by the medical community. That solution was tried, and it failed so badly that we revitalized a drug that had been so successfully painted as Satan that only 1 or 2 % of the populace were actually addicted to it compared to the epidemic it is now. All because of supposedly well meaning meddling, as a response to a bunch of upper middle class white kids overdosing on oxy.

Because it's not victimless crime these people are out driving with the rest of us

People with legally obtained prescriptions who have a valid need for these drugs are also out driving under the influence. So this doesn't explain why the law is necessary.

Prescriptions don't prevent people from driving impaired

8188 thinks all drugs should be available to anyone at any time. Unregulated. Idiotic.

I don't understand the whole no perscriptions thing. What about antibiotics? They are losing their potency already, and you know there would be dumbasses out there who would take them even when it wasn't necessary. People diagnose themselves off WebMD all the time.

What do you guys think? A Trump sweep this weekend?

Saturday, March 5:
Kansas caucuses (both parties)
Kentucky Republican caucuses
Louisiana
Maine Republican caucuses
Nebraska Democratic caucuses

Sunday, March 6:
Maine Democratic caucuses
Puerto Rico (Republicans only)

Kentucky and Louisiana go Trump, Kansas goes Cruz, have no idea what the polling in Maine says.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/amph...4/jim-webb-id-vote-for-trump-but-not-clinton/

“No, I would not vote for Hillary Clinton,” Webb said.

Pressed on whether he would vote for Donald Trump, Webb said he was “not sure” but had not ruled it out.

“It’s nothing personal about Hillary Clinton, but the reason Donald Trump is getting so much support right now is not because of the, you know, ‘racists,’ etc. and etc.,” Webb said. “It’s because a certain group of people are seeing him as the only one who has the courage to say, ‘We’ve got to clean out the stables of the American governmental system right now.’ If you're voting for Donald Trump, you might be getting something very good or very bad. If you’re voting for Hillary Clinton, you’re going to get the same thing. Do you want the same thing?”

Webb is about the only Democrat I could have voted for.

Iirc, 88 has argued for tight controls on antibiotics. As any sane person would. Interestingly enough, it isn't at all difficult to obtain many of the same antibiotics we go to the doctor for online. Fish antibiotics. No RX.

If he did, and I am sure you are right, then my bad and thanks for the clarification.

I believe I remember it because it seems that he has caught for being an alarmist loon who wants legal heroin but tight control on antibiotics.

He's absolutely correct about them, though. Its already becoming extremely diffillcult to treat something as simple as a uti due to immunities from overprescribing.

IMO, it may be mother natures way of reestablishing homeostasis. It just sucks that some have to deal with the aftermath. The girl I love has been sick for 2 years now because we can't seem to kill it. If it goes on like this, she'll end up with IC (permanently ****ed bladder),systemic or kidney infection..or organ failure from too many antibiotics.

She's said many times that she would rather be a junkie, or even just stop living.

We seem to have made some progress lately. I hope with all that I am that this is it. Because I'm not ready for it to go to her kidneys and kill her tbh.

That sucks ape. I hope she gets better man. I agree with your point about Mother Nature.

It's the same thing with narcotics..tolerance happens whether you take them the way you are supposed to or not..its a process called receptor downregulation(basically more receptor sites are lost as opposed to regenerated so you have fewer sites for drug to bind)..so eventually you HAVE to take a higher dose just to feel normal. There is a reason they are controlled substances

Watch this documentary..we did a sample test of this when Florida was pretty much giving OxyContin out like candy because of the absence of a CSMD...many deaths many lives ruined..the guy featured in the film, had buried his wife and his brother, and two years after it was made he was dead also.

Even with the laws we have now the average dose of morphine has increased 600% in 10 years because of tolerance!

In an attempt to treat patient pain better, practitioners have greatly increased their rate of opioid prescribing over the past decade. Drug distribution through the pharmaceutical supply chain was the equivalent of 96 mg of morphine per person in 1997 and approximately 700 mg per person in 2007, an increase of >600% (6). That 700 mg of morphine per person is enough for everyone in the United States to take a typical 5 mg dose of Vicodin (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) every 4 hours for 3 weeks. Persons who abuse opioids have learned to exploit this new practitioner sensitivity to patient pain, and clinicians struggle to treat patients without overprescribing these drugs.

I'm sorry to hear that ape.... What kind of infection is it that she has? MRSA?

I typed up a lengthy reply, but thought better of posting it. If you'd Luke, I'll Email you more details. Just not comfortable posting more.

Most compelling reason to regulate prescription drugs.
