Social conservatives take them seriously until they're born, then they work very hard to destroy social welfare programs designed to keep many of those babies clothed and fed.
Probably not. But your comment about voting for any R that gets on the ballot is what is disturbing. You're no different than they typical black voter that would vote for any D on the ballot. Both sides of the same coin.
You vote for the party and not for the candidate.
Hillarys typo, or maybe not.
"From her mother’s own childhood – in which she was abandoned by her parents – to her work going door-to-door for the Children’s Defense Fund to her battling to create the Children’s Health Insurance Program, she’s fought children and families all her career."
She's fought children and families.
Maybe she has, or maybe she left out the word FOR.
WHERE IS THE PANTSSUIT POSSE?
The comment was kind of a joke, hence the Star Wars reference. I know now every one is super cereal here and posting on volnation is serious business. My vote in a deep red state and even redder district is obviously very important to some people here.
In 2012 I wanted Romney, but you guys complained and sat home. Now I'm saying I don't care, just pick someone that is functional and I'm still the problem? I didn't vote for Perdue in the primary but when they called me to show up at events, donate some $$ and vote, I did. You think I wanted Michelle Nunn to represent my state? Hell no. And I'm saying the same for Hillary
If Hillary is the Dem nominee, I wouldn't count on it.
BTW, both of my kids fall into that age group and just from conversations with them and their friends the Dems have problems. While all agree that the Repubs need to back off on several of the social issues, their main focus is on economics and jobs. None appear to have any faith in the Dems improving either.
Student loan debt is HUGE, definitely. Gay rights is a big issue. Jobs are a big issue for everyone, but I don't know how that changes from R to D? Essentially everyone promises more jobs. I think coming out in favor of marijuana legislation is big for the younger demographic, and it'll get the stoners off their couch to register to vote in the first place. Haha.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that hes 91 percent sure hell get into the 2016 presidential race -- inching closer to a longshot challenge to the well-funded Republican front-runners.
Graham, a Republican and a military hawk, told Fox News Sunday that his foreign policy will be better than the plans put forth by Republican candidate Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
Not sure if I should put this in the "won't vote" thread or here.
Graham says he's '91 percent sure' he'll get in 2016 GOP presidential primary but needs campaign cash | Fox News
Yeah, because that is who we want voting......stoned gay rights advocates.
I think think/hope you are dead wrong. I hope the "it's the economy stupid" slogan begins to ring true again. Social issues should have no place in this election. I don't consider entitlements social issues at this time, more budgetary.
But like we've debated before, Obama has strengthened an economy that Bush ruined. Just how much better it is can be argued, but there's no doubt that it's "better."
Now, what does the electorate see from that? Can Jeb convince people he won't do the same things his brother did? I don't know. Do people buy that 1. Hillary will continue to move the economy forward in Obama's direction or 2. advance it at a faster rate? I don't know. That's yet to be seen.
I know that most of you guys on here fall into the libertarian-ish category, and because of that your all's focus is 100% cut spending. And I think because of that you all don't see that social issues are very important right now, and will be in this election. We're in the "civil rights" era for gay Americans. It's important.
Meh, one of these days when you get a job, watch your tax money thrown away, quit feeling sorry for yourself, and blaming successful people for all of your problems, you might get it. Until then there is no hope for you. The economy is worse than it was when Bush left office in nearly every way. Even after two years of dem controlled Congress I would still take what it was versus what it is now.
My bet is that you join a trade union and sit out on the side of the road with the people with the "Shame On XXXXX" signs. I've never in my 55 years seen someone blame other people for their own problems as much you do. You never fail to point out that CEO make more than their employees. That the people doing the work don't make as much as the bosses. Your song has begun to fall on deaf ears.
