He did? Did I say anyone did? I haven't seen them! Oh sh!t, wait, who cares?
You won't find rational people whining about Cruz's college transcripts. He graduated from law school, passed the bar. Yay. All I really need to know about that.
Obama graduated from law school, passed the bar. Yay. All you need to know about that.
All the rest is red meat for the simpletons to chew on.
Not everyone was thrilled to be forced to sit through an inherently political speech. A small group of students, captured several times by C-SPAN cameras, clad in red Stand with Rand t-shirts, were eager to chat with reporters after the event about their support for Rand Paul, another potential candidate who will likely announce in the next few weeks.
Though the schools president, Jerry Falwell Jr., told students to not take Cruzs speech as an endorsement on behalf of the school, the Stand with Rand crew only saw it as such.
We were upset about it. All students who live on campus, so over 7,000 are required to attend or have a $10 fine, said Eli McGowan, a 20-year-old junior who heads Students for Rand on campus. We know that Ted Cruz knows this and its a smart idea to have a captive audience to announce your campaign. To have 10,000 people show up. Most students take this a tacit endorsement.
You must know Ted Cruz a lot better than his old law professor Alan Dershowitz does. He apparently doesn't agree that Cruz is not "reasonable, sane, or intellectual." The following are direct quotes from Cruz's former law professor Alan Dershowitz....look them up.
Cruz was "an outstanding student in my class. Without a doubt, he is one of the smartest students I've ever had. I've had great students , but he has to be at the top of anyone's short list, in terms of raw brain power." Speaking of Cruz and Elizabeth Warren ( Dem Senator Mass.) Dershowitz adds ...."Their election raised the IQ of the Senate. The 2 of them have to be among the smartest Senators now."
Dershowitz goes on to say that Cruz "was a terrific student, always very active in class, presenting a libertarian point of view. He doesn't strike me as a social conservative, more of a libertarian." He goes on to say that being a social conservative at Harvard was looked down on and that Cruz may have kept it quiet if he was a social conservative.
More quotes from Dershowitz.....Cruz "had brilliant insights, and he was clearly among the top students, as revealed by his class responses. Cruz's views were always thoughtful, and his responses were interesting. I obviously disagreed with him, and we had good arguments in class. I would challenge him and he would always come up with good responses. His career has not surprised me . I thought he would go on to accomplish important things."
So, there is a point of view from someone who knows him, although he disagrees with Cruz's views. I stated earlier in this thread that I thought that Cruz was extremely intelligent. I watched 2 of his Texas Senate debates on CSpan, and came away impressed. He is more "reasonable, sane, and intellectual" than most any politician out there. You are welcome to disagree with his stand on various issues, but inferring that every other candidate will look "reasonable, sane, and intellectual" compared to Cruz shows your lack of objectivity. Either that, or you are unreasonable, insane, and stupid.
Former Florida governor and presidential hopeful Jeb Bush defended the NSAs surveillance methods on the Hugh Hewitt Show Monday, praising President Obamas expansions of the controversial agency.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Wednesday offered a vocal defense of the National Security Agency's mass collection of U.S. phone call data, saying the program is "hugely important" to keeping Americans safe from terrorists.
During a foreign policy speech in Chicago, the likely Republican candidate for president said the mass surveillance is an essential ingredient in the fight against those seeking to do harm to the United States.
"That requires responsible intelligence-gathering and analysis, including the NSA metadata program, which contributes to awareness of potential terrorist cells and interdiction efforts on a global scale," Bush said. "For the life of me, I don't understand [how] the debate has gotten off track, where we're not understanding and protectingwe do protect our civil liberties, but this is a hugely important program to use these technologies to keep us safe"

Still too early to tell. The press hasn't had the opportunity to crucify all the conservative candidates yet.
