As much as we like to portray Russians as thuggish dummies, it easy to see that Putin (and a whole lot of other world leaders) run rings around Obama in the brain department. All Obama has is a litany of progressive power strategies, a semi charismatic speaking ability (largely dependent on the audience), and practice in how to divide and conquer. In the end playing one against the other is no way to unite a country - it's actually a very stupid power play. Fragmenting antagonistic allies to weaken them is one thing; fragmenting your own country is just idiotic.

It has nothing to do with a lack of a brain. Obama is clearly a smart guy.

Whether he is wise or holds the same values that you have is another animal. Smart guys do foolish things all the time. It doesn't negate that they are smart though.

Senate took a big swing in the 538 predictions over the last 24 hours. Looking like 50/50 split or R control 51/49 at this point. Was looking as much as 52/48 D yesterday and prior.

RCP moved the Indiana race back to GOP...they have it at 52-48 GOP

RCP and 538 have been at odds on the Senate. I've been giving the nod to 538 since it's more than an average of polls.

50/50 (4 seats) is the most likely scenario and that would yield control since Clinton is a likely winner.

Something has slowly dawned on me about the unconventional greatness of "dems are the real racists" -- it appears to trigger the everliving f*** out of them. While the ol' DR3 probably started as an earnest (and useless) attempt to win the diversity vote, when wielded as an offensive psyops weapon, it's incredibly effective. Trump's "what do you have to lose" line, in particular, just demoralizes libs to the ninth level of hell.

Like so many things Trump does, in the moment it seems odd or insignificant, but fast forward a bit and suddenly it all makes sense.
