2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Yes, someone actually was suggestioning a century long occupation. Most likely the guy you voted for, McCain.

Good grief. First you don't even know who it was. Secondly, have you ever heard of hyperbole?

You really bring a lot of this on yourself.

Actually, it was Iraq...

McCain defends '100 years in Iraq' statement - CNN.com

Last month, at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire, a crowd member asked McCain about a Bush statement that troops could stay in Iraq for 50 years.

"Maybe 100," McCain replied. "As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it's fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."

And also:

Fact Checker - McCain's '100-year war'

So, you finally figured out he said it, but as with so many things, you took it entirely out of context as well as not even having the right location.

And yes, you bring this crap on yourself.

Once again, I've said multiple times McCain made the claim. Iran or Afghanistan is irrelevant. The relevant part is that he promotes wasting a centuries worth of tax dollars to occupy a sovereign nation.

We are still there only this administration uses an euphemism for "war".

"As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it's fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."

Sounds like Korea, or Germany. . .

You read what you want to see. He never said "occupy" in any of the statements.

I agree but at least he didn't lie. You however voted for Obama for 1 of two reasons his skin color or his party.

If someone voted for Obama because of his skin color, doesn't that make them a racist? Or because of the party, a Democratic chauvinist pig? If you can't beat liberals any other way, use their own tactics - at least the ones that don't make you gag.

When asked, McCain said if it took 100 years to win.

Thing is, this **** would have been over long ago if they would turn our dogs loose and let them do their damn job. But instead, they keep them chained up to do nothing more than bark.

Where's Goldwater when you need him?

Voting for Obola because he was black or for Cankles because she is (allegedly) a woman are horrible horrible reasons to elect the leader of the free world. But here we are.

The fact that Everyone knows Crooked Hillary is the biggest CROOK in politics, makes any attack on her a bipartisan affair.

Ginsberg 83
Kennedy 80
Breyer 78
Thomas 68

It is clear from the ages of the justices, that Crooked Hillary will be able to install three, and possibly four,
far left justices if she is elected in November.

Two seperate people, right?

So he promoted a plan for stability along the lines of a Germany, Japan or Korea? Instead of running and causing a power vacuum and instability.

You SAPODS just can't see past what's promised to you.

I figured the race might close up a bit with the week that Hillary had, but the other numbers are what's interesting:

Poll: Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 6 - CNNPolitics.com

The poll also found high interest in the election -- though much of what Americans are expressing is concern.

It found 61% said they are alarmed by the 2016 presidential race, while 23% are excited -- and just 9% are bored.

When Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party's Jill Stein were factored in, Clinton's lead was 39% to Trump's 35%, with 8% for Johnson and 3% for Stein.

61% is a pretty huge number.
