2016 Election Thread Part Deux

I think Bernie could win CA tomorrow. So even though Clinton won the nomination by every possible measure we'll still have weeks of juicy drama leading up to the convention.

didn't know where else to post this

The ***** wants to take our guns.

Hillary Clinton Won't Admit Right To Bear Arms Is Constitutional - Breitbart

Sensing her avoidance, Stephanopoulos posed the question again, saying, “Do you believe…that an individual’s right to bear arms is a constitutional right?”

Clinton responded, “If it is a constitutional right, then it–like every constitutional right–is subject to reasonable regulation.”

I am pushed to the point where many others already are; if I don't agree with a law, I ignore it. If guns were banned and I wanted one, I would purchase on the black market. If the drug industry has taught us anything, it is that when Americans want something, someone will sell it regardless of legality.

There is a very good chance many states will simply tell the Feds to suck it. There's already been full blown state legislation alluding to as much.

Firearms Freedom Act » State By State

And if the argument is made that the Feds have simply exceeded their purview on the matter they could just tell the Feds to pound sand all together on enforcing any edicts on their soil. (If a state can ignore federal drug regulations an enumerated Constitutional Amendment should be an even easier sell)

Sen. Mike Lee says he doesn't like Trump's comments, doesn't support them. A reporter asked him if he'll back as nominee. He walked away.

So if Hillary gets ousted in the FBI primary and the DNC goes with Sanders (hard not to for them). Johnson might pick off enough states to prevent any electoral college winner and throw the election to the House.

Now we have a bit of a prisoners dilemma. Straight party voting would yield Trump over Sanders but the GOP isn't a fan of Trump. If enough defect to Johnson then Sanders wins IF D's stay unified on Sanders. However, if D's assume Trump might win they may see Johnson as the lesser of two evils and throw some votes his way. Staying on the party line means you get someone you don't want. Taking a risk to prevent one scenario yields a worse scenario.

And unicorns might fly out of my butt.

Regardless of what happens to Hillary Johnson isn't winning a single state.
