2016 Election Thread Part Deux

so new thread..The Meltdown That Is Happening In The Democratic Party? many in the GOP aren't fond of Trump but many democrats hate Hillary

Adryenn Ashley posted several live videos (below) from inside the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, where arcane secondary rounds of the delegate selection process of Nevada's Democratic caucus erupted into chaos Saturday night. Bernie Sanders supporters demanded 64 rejected pro-Sanders delegates listed in a "minority report" prepared by their campaign be allowed to participate in selecting delegates for the national convention.

DNC leaders refused to reconsider their decision not to allow this, adjourned, and fled the building amid a chorus of boos; leaving hotel security and local police officers to handle the angry Sanders supporters.

Earlier in the day, the Sanders camp objected to several of their delegates being disqualified from voting for administrative reasons, and booed Sen. Barbara Boxer when she called for unity. "If you're booing me, you're booing Bernie Sanders," she told them. "Go ahead, boo yourselves out of this election."

This is a truly exceptional election for so many reasons, not the least of which being that it is unlikely we will ever have two major candidates this universally despised ever again.

The American people are essentially voting for who they think is only slightly less a loser than the other fool. They'll be talking about Loser Election 2016 millennia from now, provided humans are still on Earth.

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 2 percentage points among voters nationwide, according to a poll released Friday.

The One America News Network and Gravis Marketing poll shows the Democratic presidential front-runner with 48 percent support over 46 percent for the presumptive GOP nominee in a head-to-head general election matchup. Another 5 percent said they would vote for a different candidate.

That falls in line with other polls that show Clinton’s lead slimming as Trump begins mounting his general election campaign against her.

In a Public Policy Polling survey released Tuesday, Clinton had a lead of 4 points over Trump, 42 to 38 percent.

Friday’s poll was conducted among 1,574 registered voters on May 10 with a margin of error of 2.5 points.

One of the interesting things about Trump, besides being able to witness what it is like for a reality TV star to run a country, is that, while he isn't really a consistent policymaker, there is clearly such a thing as "Trumpism." It has a core set of principles - mostly unified through an insulatory/protectionist vision - which follow as:

1. Economic protectionism
2. Secure the border and remove foreign/"foreign" threats domestically
3. Remove ourselves from the world. We're stronger when we aren't as involved.
4. Political correctness is ruining America and makes us weaker.
5. All the current problems faced by the hardworking, common man (or person out of work and looking for a job) are the result of schemers in the American government and foreign enemies around the globe. We must eliminate this threat in order for us to "win" again. This principle is closely aligned with Principle 1 and 2.

If he is accepting a less beneficial form of payment than they are, that is his issue. Each person has a right to negotiate their own deals.

If they actually receive a 1099 - the income they receive has been reported to the IRS. Those who receive 1099 income are actually responsible for both the employer side of the FICA, Medicare, etc. taxes and their side for a total of a little over 15% (W-2 employees only pay ~7.6%, the employer pays the other half). The 1099 workers are also responsible for paying the income tax associated with their net income... now whether the IRS can find them is another issue....

I like your optimism, but I remain fully convinced that both parties are quite capable of finding even less qualified and more despicable candidates. Both parties have been building to this stage cycle after cycle; and they've become really good at it. They've been feeding the electorate **** sandwiches, and the electorate has been asking for seconds.

Sounds like someone destined to be a University of Tennessee bureaucrat.

I think there is a job opening at the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. DiPietro and Goldfinger enjoy wasting money and she would be perfect in that position.

Feel the Bern, UTK!
