2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Did you see Trump's foreign policy speech today !!!!

He's far less aggressive than Obama or Clinton as Secretary. He'd have done better if he'd run in the Democratic primaries !!

We already know Obama and hilLIARy know nothing on foreign policy, so Trump isn't hurting there.

On page 158 of this thread, post # 2356, at 10:39 a.m. this morning you stated that Trump "will get killed in the general, absolutely killed." Why concern yourself with anything he says, since you say that he has zero chance of getting elected? Do you not believe what you wrote this morning?

He, who knows trannys should use any bathroom they want.
He, who will bring jobs back to America.
He, who will Make America Great Again©

If you saw Bobby Knight with Trump at a townhall today you saw the official sealing of the deal. Didn't see the connection until then - they are the same basic person.

Indiana will go to Trump by 10 points

Interesting take on the Cruz decision today:

CRUZ WILL PICK HIS VP TODAY but NOBODY WILL CARE | EndingFed News Network

  1. Ted Cruz is desperate. His string of 6 primary losses — coupled with the massive momentum of the Trump Train — has Cruz feeling he must do something to spark interest. He needs to do something to get the cameras to turn away from Trump. Considering his alliance with Gov Kasich fell short, Cruz figures if he names a woman as his VP choice then suddenly he’ll grab the headlines? How stupid is this man? Most Americans cannot tolerate Fiorina for more than 30-seconds. She’s already proven herself as undesirable. This sort of decision by Cruz leads to #2…
  2. Ted Cruz is not ready to be president. Cruz shows time and again that his decision making skills are terrible. He acts like a snake-oil salesman who cannot be trusted — he panics — and no matter how hard he tries he will never be “liked” because he is a fake, and he is VERY unlikeable. The only conservative who is more unlikeable than Cruz, is Carly Fiorina.
  3. Ted Cruz will end up in the dark. Such a lame attempt to turn the spotlight on himself will backfire. Ultimately, the cameras are going to point to Trump for his reaction to this silly announcement and the timing of it. And after Trump rips both Cruz and Fiorina to shreds, all of the spotlight will go back on Trump. That leaves Cruz with Fiorina standing in the dark. Goes to show how misery loves company.

I'm laughing because, often, when you peel away the thin veneer of his being a bully, the guy is a liberal.

There's a reason he acts like a snake-oil salesman that can't be trusted....

Gramps clued me in on that and basically led the charge of the anti-Cruz brigade from the start. And in time, I saw how correct he was and jumped on that train.

But it seems like the further we go into this election, the more his used car salesman and petty acts are coming out. Or it could be the fact they aren't trying to focus on 15 different candidates and his antics are just getting noticed more.

Dude you just insulted thousands of used car salesmen.

I think it's that plus, if he's an egomaniac, and realizes that he's never going to be able to run again given the dynamics of this, he'll stop at nothing now to win. It's all or nothing for him, at this point.

John Boehner calls Ted Cruz "Lucifer in the flesh," "miserable" SOB - CBS News

John Boehner sounded off a litany of insults for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz Wednesday night, labelling the Texas senator "Lucifer in the flesh" and a "miserable son of a *****."

"I have Democrat friends and Republican friends," the former House speaker said during a frank on-stage discussion at Stanford University Wednesday. "I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a ***** in my life."

He's not a liberal. He's a populist and a nationalist.

Aggressive tax reductions, strong control of immigration, strengthen the military, reduce regulation, pro-business. None of these are liberal positions and they are his main policy positions.

The only things I see that might be considered non-socially conservative are his views on abortion (in line with majority of country) and his positions on healthcare coverage for all.

His trade and FP stances are a mix of capitalism and nationalism.

I strongly disagree with his trade policies but I'm glad he's not a social conservative.
