Sort of an election story:
Running late this morning so had to go through the drive thru for breakfast. I was behind a Land Rover and when the guy pulled up to the speaker to order he was on his phone and when asked for his order he yelled out "I'm on the phone wait a minute". After a minute I honked my horn and yelled at the guy to move his ass. Of course he politely gave me the finger but eventually ordered and moved on. Any guess on who's bumper sticker he was sporting?
Hillary.

So the guy basically said F U and you said nothing back or did you honk again? Just curious what your reaction was
Said nothing, what would a physical confrontation accomplish? A visit to the pokey isn't worth the satisfaction.
Which brings up another good point. Would there be so many self-centered *******s today if we weren't such a litigious society and simply laying your hands on someone is considered assault?
Don't you think that 14% approval rating Congress has may have something to do with some members losing their seats?
Didn't hurt much in 2012 - only a net loss of 8 seats for the GOP when they already had a massive majority.
If we're talking 30 seats and thus the majority lost to the Dems in 2016, that's catastrophic. And Trump would share his onus of the blame. The top of the ticket is supposed to generate enthusiasm for the downward races.
And he might if he is the nominee and the party actually gets behind him. Still a lot of time left. My guess is 3/4 of the likely voters still aren't paying attention.
I can understand the party having reservations about getting behind someone whose favorability ratings are on par with Jar Jar Binks and Joffrey Baratheon. Add that to how much of a shift Trump's platform is, and it doesn't shock me at all.
Sucks, but that's the situation we're in. I don't see a good way out.
I never said we should bow to anyone but when you visit someone's country you can't go in and be an a$$hat when things don't go your way.
