2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Independents only make up 29% of the electorate. Women on the other hand make up 53% of the electorate and she leads them 60-30. Obama only won 55% of women in 2012. by getting that extra 5% of women she closed the gap.

None of those numbers have anything to do with what we were talking about.

The bigger the coalition of voters Clinton gets ( Woman, minorities, educated whites) the less the amount of independent voters she needs to win. Trump needs 58-60% of independents to win plus 40% of the hispanic vote. Both will never happen for him.

You're arguing with nobody. All I said was that tying Trump to racists was meant to turn off independent voters. I'm not trying to make a complicated or controversial point here.

Trump will win

Hillary clearly desperate. Will soon implode
The more that I think about Trump, the more I think that he is a shrewd politician.

1) He knew that he was too politically incorrect to run as a Democrat, and that this was Hillary's year anyway.

2) He knew that he couldn't run 3rd party and win, so he had to run as a Republican.

3) He knew that it would be an anti-establishment year since people think the country is heading in the wrong direction.

4) He knew that the only way he could become President was to win the Republican nomination.

5) He knew that the only way to win the Republican nomination was to run as a conservative. In an anti-establishment year, he knew that Ted Cruz would be his most formidable opponent.

6) He knew that in a crowded field, if he staked out the territory on the far right that Cruz couldn't outflank him.

7) So, he settled on an immigration stance so far to the right, that nobody could be to his right unless they recommended rounding illegals up and drowning them.

8) Now, he has to try to head back toward the middle without alienating the anti-illegal immigration folks, and I think that he can because they won't vote for Hillary.

9) He may know enough about Hillary's coming troubles that he thinks she is toast.

This is what I am thinking. Your mileage may vary.

Anybody's better than Hillary.....she's unfit to be a dog catcher.

She thinks the election is in the way & she should be sworn in tomorrow.

I'm independent, and I've thought from the start the "trump racist " stuff is bull.

September 26th can't come soon enough. Beginning of the end. Hopefully the moderators aren't on the Clinton Foundation payroll

I'm sick of Apple - and their "news feed". They let you choose who you want to follow, and at first I selected a few different sources but got tired of the overly liberal slant. So I then narrowed it to Drudge and Breitbart yet I get numerous negative articles about Trump everyday and never a single peep about Hillary. I'm not exaggerating. Now this is what is getting passed to me as "news". I cancelled my Facebook account after their bull****. As soon as I'm up on my contract I'm trashing my iPhone.

He tapped into old white man fear. Enough to get him the nomination not nearly enough to get him elected. My post isn't about Hillary. She is deplorable. Trump is also deplorable. He is not conservative. Never has been. So the only reason to vote for him is that he is not hillary

Not the only reason. I will vote for him for a couple of other reasons. Supreme Court and the fact that he is a businessman, not a lifelong blood sucking politician, or a blood sucking lawyer. Of course, Hillary is both. Before someone says that Hillary isn't a lifelong politician, she has been a member of Political Team Clinton for a long, long time.

I would vote for any businessman over Hillary, even if he just ran a lemonade stand unsuccessfully. At least he would understand how the government can **** everything up, and the basics of budgeting.

"Hillary also accused Trump of “taking hate groups mainstream,” the very thing that her and Barack Obama have done by supporting ‘Black Lives Matter’ – a group that has inspired the murder of police officers and whose ideological inspiration is a convicted cop killer on the FBI’s Most Wanted Domestic Terrorists list."

So much truth to this.

All I'm saying is had Rand Paul won the nomination he would have won in a landslide. Just go take a look at his numbers in Kentucky.

You guys blew it. Kasich was the man. Vanilla enough on every issue that all of HRC's problems would have dominated the news. You literally nominated the one idiot in the entire field that cannot help but screw this up.

I have noticed the same thing. The one oddity with your screenshot is there is only ONE negative story. Usually its 2 or 3 out of the 4.

Blew it? Meh, maybe not. Better than having an old hag like Hillary to screw things up more.

I'm not a Trump supporter just yet but I'd rather give Trump a shot at a changer of policy...foreign & domestic... than have 4 more years of Obama's ungodly crap & the corruption scandals that comes along with Hillary.
