Yep, and then the electorate doubled down on stupid. Between a press with absolutely no concept of journalistic integrity and an electorate whose intelligence rarely even reaches tepid (except the "what's in it for me factor"), we're pretty well screwed.

Ironically, the presumptive nominee’s own toxicity is making the job of finding a vice presidential nominee that much easier, because the short list is so short. Multiple high-level Republican sources said it is topped by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, with Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions a distant third and Oklahoma Gov. I still think Rubio is in the running, regardless of what he said . The statement of him "considering running again" a while back was what tipped me off.

Don't be surprised if he pops up at the last minute.

The Middle East will never be fixed, that's the first realization we have to come to. So a victory would be more along the lines of defending ourselves successfully. Just my opinion though.

Either that. Or the entire world would have to agree to **** it up being repair.
