Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he will not participate in Monday's Fox News debate, and will instead speak at a conference of the pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC.

I would actually agree with him on this one. I don't know what another debate would accomplish at this point.

Though I think the true, hidden reason is he's afraid of Megyn Kelly.

This Fact check (updated) is very interesting. I know some of the candidates aren't running anymore.

You are missing the point; all candidates lie. They say what is necessary to get elected and then do what is convenient or best for them later, and that's absolutely true of career politicians - they are serial liars because that keeps them in office. This is a voter revolt; we are tired of the same old crap - especially from the Republican party. Remember the stance about not allowing Obama to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat? Watch - Obama is ready to nominate, and the odds are good that the Republicans won't block him - because that's just what cowardly wimps do to protect their own self interests. They may hold out until after the elections - for show. Trump is a useful tool because he isn't one of the usual them, and they don't represent us.

We may have seen our last debate on the GOP side. Trump says he can't attend the one scheduled for Monday (he's speaking at a pro-Israel conference instead), which caused Kasich to pull out. Fox has now cancelled it.

Good. They aren't debates anyway - more a bad reality show than anything else.

"Political parties, not voters, choose their presidential nominees, a Republican convention rules member told CNBC, a day after GOP front-runner Donald Trump rolled up more big primary victories.

"The media has created the perception that the voters choose the nomination. That's the conflict here," Curly Haugland, an unbound GOP delegate from North Dakota, told CNBC's " Squawk Box " on Wednesday. He even questioned why primaries and caucuses are held."

They are a fairly recent phenomenon.

I'll give it to Trump. This almost made me fall out of my chair. :eek:lol:

That is funny, but on a serious note, Russia's "tough guy" is a former KGB man who has literally killed people we're all quite sure and who hikes across the Siberian wilderness in search of large, violent animals, while our "tough guy" in Trump is a second-tier NYC real estate developer who tweets.

Absolutely. Trump's admiration for Putin is a serious case of penis envy.

Is this a good sign? The 2nd place GOP finisher received more votes than the Dem winner in Ohio..also is there a place to see the raw vote totals for this primary season?

Donald Trump Got More Votes In Ohio Than Hillary Clinton

People don't come out in large numbers for primary votes when the nomination is a cake walk. I do agree that Trump will increase the number of republican votes compared to last election. I think it's canacelled out by all the Dems who would walk through fire to prevent him from winning the general. Hillary by 5 in the popular and by huge numbers in the electoral.
