2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Gary Johnson will not win ONE electoral vote. Not a one.

Just last night I was talking to a 19 year old that has been a die-hard progressive as long as I've known him. He was one of the biggest Bernie supporters I know as well. As of last night, guess who he's voting for?

Not Hillary. Not Trump. Johnson.

I actually really think Johnson could make a showing if he plays it correctly.

I'm a conservative libertarian and will most likely vote for him. That young man is/was a liberal and will vote for him. The one thing that we both agree on is that the two parties have alienated their bases and it's time for a change.

Worse? What about the rumors of the RICO case against Hillary for using her State Department connections in order to enrich the Clinton Foundation? In addition to the email scandal.

You really cannot think anything objectively about this matter.

Rico>email

Rico=Rico

I know he won't answer since it would leave a bad taste in his mouth to agree with me for once.

I'm convinced that when he cannot find an answer in the approved talking points Carlos sends him he either posts some stupid meme or just ignores the question.

I agree with you on the 2 parties being terrible but he will not win one state, he will come in 3rd in every state. If there is ever going to be a legitimate 3rd candidate they have to find someone other than Johnson.
Also I kinda see Trump as a 3rd party candidate

While governor of NM what did Johnson do to stop eminent domain, expand gun rights or freedom of speech?

He never used eminent domain once. He vetoed countless bills that would have limited rights. Unlike your candidate who wants to further limit all 3.

Question was did he do anything to prevent or stop it. Rarely does a governor ever use eminent domain that is pretty much done at the local level. Unless there is a highway or something like that being built.

LOL, if you are willing to overlook the past 30 years of history, then okay

Nothing's come of it. From Whitewater to etc., it's just noise nothing substantial. Even this email thing seems likely to pass with nothing more than an accusation of poor IT management.

I honestly don't get why the right seems to have singled her out more than other members of the Democrats. Perhaps, this goes back to her testimony against St. Dick Nixon? Not sure.

I guess you don't know what a pattern of behavior is?

Call me crazy but I'm guessing she is singled out because she's running for President. That would be my guess

What pattern? The right keeps trying to accuse of her stuff but none of it sticks because there's nothing there.

I guess you guys just like to "pick on a girl?"

You seem to not understand the difference here. My candidate has never used it, and believes the free market can find a way not to. Your candidate believes it should be used by private businesses. There's a major difference there.

Your candidate has laid out additional freedoms he'd also like to take away as well.

So your argument is: "sure, my candidate will take away even more freedom from you, but what will yours do to increase your freedom?"

That's a damn sad argument.

First Trump isn't "my" candidate. Second you cannot point to anything Johnson has ever done to end the practice in his state as governor, during his 8 years as governor was eminent domain ever used in the state?

If there is ever going to be a legitimate 3rd candidate, the American voter needs to stop being afraid of splitting votes and vote for the 3rd party candidate.

fyp... :)

Johnson may not be the perfect candidate, but I think he's a valid one. And I'm finally to the point that I refuse to hold my nose and pull the lever for a bad candidate in fear that it will result in a worse candidate. Both party candidates this cycle are so bad that there really isn't a big difference between bad/worse.

We'll see how much of a minority my thinking is. But in any event, as far as I see it... Hillary... Trump... Either way, we're hosed.
