2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Eyes on San Jose now, anti-Trumpers attacking Trump supporters leaving the rally.

Remember how much flak Trump got for saying he was focusing on the West Coast?

It's extremely unlikely he wins those states and he knows it, but every time an event draws this kind of violent response it's a free sympathy boost for him.

The Sam Jose situation last night was ridiculous. The people who touched or in any way physically threatened the Trump people should have gone to jail. No amount of resentment can justify that behavior.

Democrats don't go to jail for being Democrats though and it all starts at the top of the party. "Leadership" by example.

Your party base is unhinged. Violence at republican rallies..violence at democrat rallies. Might be time to step back and reassess..

LOL. You get a few hundred extreme folks at a rally and ascribe it to 80 million people

And ironically call them unhinged. Have you taken a look at your leader?

Trump Supporters "Terrorized" In Massive San Jose Street Brawl As Police "Lose Control" | Zero Hedge

This isnt an isolated incident. This is at every rally. Is Trump or their supporters out there attacking people at Hillary/Bernie rallies? No. Has a single democrat "leader' spoken out about the violence being commited by their supporters? No. So the fact that democrats are not only committing violence at Republican rallies but also at Democrat rallies really speaks volumes about you people. Violent lunatics.

I hope Trump wins solely to watch democrats destroy their own communities. Then maybe we can clean up this country.

How about the people who organized and paid the agitators?

I don't ascribe it to 80 million people. But I do think your party needs to start putting the brakes on this kind of behavior and disavowing it. Just like this nonsense:

San Jose protesters attack Trump supporters with punches, eggs | Fox News

"Our police officers have done an extremely courageous and professional job so far," San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo told The Associated Press by phone. "We're all still holding our breath to see the outcome of this dangerous and explosive situation."

The mayor, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, criticized Trump for coming to cities and igniting problems that local police departments had to deal with.

"At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign," Liccardo said.

Exactly why is he putting this all on Trump? For real? Can't put any blame on the protesters at all can he?

And there only was a "dangerous and explosive" situation because he and the police allowed it to get that way.

Your party and it's followers are doing more to ensure a President Trump than the GOP ever dreamed of. As UTC said, it's a sympathy boost. But I'll go one step further and say it's going to be an anger boost. You think moderates and centrists are going to flock to the DNC while this kind of behavior is going on?

Yeah the irony is hilarious. Also the continued stupidity after these actions have HELPED Trump with the undecided voters. It's gold to watch such a sophomoric group of people get **** on by their own childish actions. It's scary that these are adults doing this...

Oh, the DNC is in such turmoil...

Democrats weigh how to nudge Bernie Sanders out - CNNPolitics.com

Democrats in Washington have begun discussing how to encourage Sen. Bernie Sanders to end his campaign without alienating his legions of supporters, as party leaders grow eager to unite the party behind Hillary Clinton and provide a more robust defense for her candidacy.

The widespread view, according to interviews with senators, House members and senior party officials, is that Sanders needs to see the writing on the wall himself: That he has no mathematical possibility to win the race and would be better-served to see his agenda enacted if he urged his backers to support Clinton.

If he doesn't drop out, the options on how to persuade him to quit boil down to this: Propose potential process reforms, including gutting the role of superdelegates in choosing the next nominee, give him a prime speaking slot at the Democratic Convention and even dump the head of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a controversial figure among Sanders' supporters.

I agree that HRC should say something about not having any violence at these events.

It's to her benefit to have everyone calm the f down and actually listen to Trump.

http://www.cnbc.com/2016/06/03/us-nonfarm-payrolls-may-2016.html

The drop in the unemployment rate was primarily due to a drop in the labor force participation rate, which fell to a 2016 low of 62.6 percent, a level near a four-decade low. The number of Americans not in the labor force surged to a record 94.7 billion, an increase of 664,000.

Wall Street was looking for payroll growth of 162,000 and the unemployment rate holding steady at 5.0 percent.

Instead, the private sector added just 25,000 jobs. Previous months' reports also saw sharp downward revisions, with March sliding from 208,000 to 186,000 and April going from 160,000 to 123,000.

And Clinton is running on continuing the economic policies of Obama?

Funny. You think building the wall is actually about stopping illegal immigration. It isn't. It never was. It's about appealing to White resentment of minorities. Unfortunately, so far, it has worked.

Yeah, well, sucks to be her. Because all people are seeing are anti-Trump supporters, many being violent, punching and spitting on others. And causing scenes which are sure to make the nightly news.

Perhaps it's time the DNC cut ties with Bill Ayers and his brownshirt tactics and tried a different method.
