2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Hillary is a candidate chosen by the democratic party, not its members. I am surprised any Democrat would consider voting for her. Had the Republicans by passed the lead candidate chosen by the people I would not have voted for that candidate in protest. They are seriously messing with the peoples will and the very heart of our system of government.

Please. They wouldn't be questions, they'd be accusations. Red meat for the Fox base. That's all that is.

Of course, how silly of us to assume otherwise.

Her supporters will lap it up about her "sticking it" to Fox and refusing to go on just like Trump supporters did when he missed the one debate (I said the same thing about him as well).

But to those centrist voters she needs to court? This looks like she's scared to go on Fox and face tough questions. And/or put her views on record. And furthermore, she overestimates her ability to put Bernie away at this moment. She will likely get the nomination, but he's just not slipping quietly into the night. Let's face facts here LG, she's not had a tough debate yet. She's been spoon fed every question and the big issues have been avoided. And this dodge is an excuse to continue avoiding questions voters have.

She knows this and this is why she won't go on.

Honestly even the would be hillary voters should abstain fr voting for her on principle alone...that their party rigged the election with super delegates and made it impossible for Bern to win t hi s election. I think sadly more people in that sphere want the socialist to be president. They should send a message with absolutely no turnout in the general that the people's voice can never be ignored.

It doesn't surprise me that the dems have no principles mind you...I know who we are dealing with here. I would love to see the differences in dem voters vs. Republican voters in criminal records, welfare dependence, unemployment, disability, etc. I am sure it is stark contrast.

She has won 56% of the popular vote to Bernie's 43%. I'm not seeing the great miscarriage of justice here.

Yes, but you and I both know she was coronated by the DNC well in advance of her announcement as a candidate. Had the playing field been even going in, those numbers likely would have been far different.

Bernie has only picked up steam as this cycle has continued on. Imagine what the numbers might have looked like had the voters figured out what a shady candidate she was from the start.

Bernie campaigned like an idiot. With mountains of dirt and scandal stacked in front of him to use he chose to not use it even on the couple of occasions where he was perfectly justified in doing so.

Thats Bernie's fault for being too chicken ****

I'll agree, however, Bernie (so far) has been above the mud slinging so often seen in any election. While he's a crazy loon that I wouldn't ever vote for, he strikes me as an honorable man in a lot of respects. And I can respect that.

Remember, no one has done any negative campaigning on him. The GOPers didn't because he's doing them a favor, and Clinton did not because she needs his supporters. He's the one guy, besides maybe Kasich, that everyone has avoided going after.

She won't get them. Not all at least.

More than that, Clinton knows that she has the superdelegates in the bag and the whole primary process is pretty much a formality.

More discord within the DNC:

Reid vows to 'stop' Clinton from picking certain running mates | Fox News

Add Harry Reid to the list of troubles dogging Hillary Clinton as she stumbles toward the Democratic nomination for president.

The powerful Senate minority leader delivered an unusual warning to Clinton on selecting a running mate, vowing to "do whatever I can" to stop her from choosing a Democratic senator from a state led by a Republican governor.

“If we have a Republican governor in any of those states, the answer is not only no, but hell no and I would do whatever I can, and I think most of my Democratic colleagues here would say the same thing," Reid, D-Nev. said on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” Monday. “I would yell and scream to stop that.”

At least he didn't say he was going to screech about it.

This could possibly warrant another thread, but I'm curious about something.

You're a strong "Christian values" poster. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that you're also a strong "Christian values," whatever that means to you, voter as well. If so, then I'm curious as to how you justify voting for Trump along these lines. To me, an erstwhile Christian and current atheist, he seems like the most "non-Christian values" nominee we've possibly ever had. Is it that you think the values that Clinton and the Democrats represent are so fundamentally against "Christian self-reliance," whatever that means, that you see Trump as a must-win candidate? Like, the only other viable alternative (Clinton) is too awful? Or is it that you genuinely think Trump a true-believer or a true values candidate?

Please help a very confused poster, who can't understand why anyone would vote for either of these two jackwagons.

Thank you in advance.

I don't see that in him. I think he is a typical slime ball liberal. What I think the real story is the Dem establishment made it clear that they'd crush him if he went that route.

One can have slime ball liberal stances and still be honorable. At least you know where they stand unlike some that flip flop.

I see no honor in Bernie, I see a man who couldn't make a living outside of politics. Sorry but i just can't respect him.
