The tittle of the article say LOI just like on NSD. So I guess that means he is officially a VOL. I didn't think commits could sign this early.

I hope he's eating a lot of pancakes, too. Needs to get that weight up. We might end up having to play a true freshman at one OT position. I think the staff will see him the same way they do Derek Barnett, but Jack might be a little too undersized as a freshman to contribute early. We'll see. Hope he's a workout warrior, so he can hit the ground running when he gets here.

Pretty sure it's not the NOI. It's technically financial aid papers and you can actually submit them for multiple schools. However, once you actually enroll in a school the offer that school made to the student athlete is binding...

Just read up on it...you do sign if you're an EE but you can do it as early as Aug 1. Didn't know that.

The EE's sign their LOIs and enroll before NSD. I just thought it was way early for a commit to sign at this time of the year.
