kinda hard to be under the radar when you have back to back top 5 recruiting classes and the emergence of dobbs.

we're now accumulating talent on the level of Florida State, Ohio State, and USC. those teams don't ever go under the radar.

We all should be well able to handle disappointment by now. I know now-a-days everyone gets a trophy because we can't let anyone be disappointed. Heaven forbid we, as a fan base, get excited about the possibility of next season...but pump the breaks...we don't want anyone crying next season! I for one can handle it. I say GO VOLS and be brave enough to think your team can handle it.

It's damn sure nice to be ranked up out of the bottom or middle of the pack again!

On paper we look great.

I'm worried about so many injuries that are going to hold back so many of our kids and slow their progress with no spring practice or O & W game.

I hope they all heal up fast and can get in some meaningful work all summer.

Actually to have high expectations is to be rational this time around. All objective indications say that Tennessee is in for a big year this season. Only the irrational are trying to downplay the expectations of the optomists.

I'm definitely not irrational. That patch work oline we had last year is what makes me think tied second in the SEC is a little over the top. I still think we have our best season since at least '07 coming up this fall.

Wow, that is an interesting perspective, SmokeyMan! What if we exactly replicated the '07 season this coming fall?

9-3 regular season, with losses to Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama (to replicate the losses to California, Florida, and Alabama in '07)

Trip to the SEC Championship, losing to Auburn (was LSU in '07)

Then a January bowl game, beating Michigan State ('07 was Wisconsin), closing the season 10-4

I could totally see that happening, and how freaky would it be as twin Fulmer-Jones bookends to the "Vols Dark Ages"?

The poetry in all that is awesome.

Lets pump the brakes on auburn a team that lost 5 games, and their quarterback with an awful defense. And Why are we afraid of High expectations, time to put up or shut up.
