Freshman Peyton?...or experienced Peyton...I vote that if Riley wins the starting job,we give him at least the same number of games under his belt...before we expect like performance.

Needless to say if he wins the job we should support him regardless, and I plan to...what I'm getting at is that the completely overblown VN hype isn't doing him any favors. I doubt his performance would have been substantially different than J. Dobbs' in any way had he played last year. Freshmen gon' freshmen, pretty much.

Be careful fellow Sig....I said basically the same a few days ago in another thread and got blasted for it. Not that I give a crap about being blasted, but it's apparently rude to be a realist here LOL

We just need a damn QB that can throw a 15 yard out without it hitting the ground 3 yards short, with the receivers we got throw it and let them run under it give them a chance.

They are taking 2 this year. They have one QB in their back pocket. They are waiting to get a top prospect before they take a commitment from number 2.

I would guess that would be Matt Williams and I think he will be a good one. I'm not sure why they would hold him in their "back pocket" IF they fully intend to take 2. I doubt a Gentry type QB talent would be scared off by a kid with Williams offer list. I also think it really does not matter if you take the lower lever guy now or later, if the other kid is worried about you taking 2, it's better to know now than to find out in Nov after you take the 2nd guy.
