Well yeah, the Bulls beat everybody. That's not really substantial to the argument that the East has been pretty bad since Jordan's retirement.

The best the East could muster since then is the Heat and they practically had a Finals given to them and then later they split on 4 straight Finals appearances.

Meanwhile the West has had two legit dynasties in the Lakers and the Spurs.

Didn't realize this is the first time since the best of 7 format was introduced that the Conference Finals had two teams leading 3-0.

Hawks, man... can't even beat the Cavs down Love, Irving and JR Smith. How is this garbage the #1 team in the east? What a disgrace of a conference. This season, the east has to be the worst conference in the history of the league. Maybe sports. I've seen bad divisions like the AL west this year, NL central in the past, NFC west and so on. But the entire east, what a piece of s***.

At this point, down Irving and Love, the Cavs aren't even a good team. Yet they're about to sweep the Hawks in the ECF despite the fact that the Cavs wouldn't have even gotten into the playoffs out west without Love and Irving. Hell, even with Love and Irving I'm not sure the Cavs make it to the playoffs out west. But without? Not even a question. And yet, they're going to sweep the number one team in the east? If the league doesn't interfere(they will), Warriors will sweep the Cavs in the finals. There's no reason not to as other than Lebron, the Cavs are worse at every single position, including bench. Refs will have to will the Cavs to victory because there is no way in hell they could beat the Warriors straight up on their own merit without Love and a gimpy Irving who I assume will be back for the finals.

Hawks... smh. Regular season warriors. Unlike the Warriors who are actually good and are a legit #1 seed.

Dude, if Anthony Davis can take the Pelicans to the 8 seed, I'm positive LeBron could've pulled the Cavs to at least the same. I don't think they would've made the conference finals but they would have made the playoffs.

No point in trying, TOP's hate for Lebron is rivaled only by his hate for non-blue collar cities and sunlight.

Ridiculous. This is the conference finals and the Hawks are a MASH unit with every member of the starting 5 either banged up or out and their best defender off the bench victimized by police brutality. It's not exactly a case of underachieving at this point.

The intent was clear, just because he missed his head doesn't mean he wasn't aiming for it. It was silly and by the letter of the law, it was a flagrant 2 and this he deserved to be ejected.

I think Delladova is a sneaky dirty player, meaning he's really good at making it look natural but in this case I'm not sure he had any intent.

Either way, Horford was just letting off some frustration.

You're right, but in the scheme of what had just happened, I still don't think it was quite to the level of flagrant 2.

Thanks. I hadn't seen that graphic enough where they spelled that out. :)

It was a dumb move. I just think he backed off enough that there could have been some discretion. The amount of disagreement among the announcers and studio hosts tell me that it wasn't quite clear cut.

I still haven't heard what the Technical on Dellavadova was for. It made no sense.

It really doesn't matter. Maybe they win that game if he's in but would you feel any more inclined to believe that Atlanta could win the series?

To me it was an obvious flaarant 2, it wasn't Artest taking Harden's head off egregious but still fits the bill by the rule.

My point was the East still competes. A lot of people think the finals are like the easy reward for whatever west team runs the gauntlet. Sometimes, it is. The East has had a reputation of beating each other up in the playoffs since I was a kid. But when the tougher team makes it out of the East, they can win. (Detroit 3 times)

If Lebron is as fragile as he's acting, I'd still feel like there was a chance if the series had gone 2-1.

The East wasn't that bad this year. The eastern champ is going to be weak but as a whole it was probably better than recent years. All final 4 teams have had crucial player(s) miss games. The East is limping into the Finals.

The fraudlanta hawks as they cant beat the cavs when it matters.

Maybe they'll get one win to prevent a sweep before getting eliminated.

I've gotta hand it to the Hawks for their regular season, bad as I hate to give teams in the East props. They had a pretty damn good record. They aren't the same team now.

Going into the season it was thought that were two teams that were legit contenders (Cavs/Bulls), Atlanta emerged and made it three. Three good teams out of fifteen. That's pretty bad. And now it's obvious there is only one good team and they're riddled with injuries and look like a huge underdog to Golden State.

Washington and Toronto were better than people anticipated too. I'm not saying it was a good conference but it was so bad the last few years. TOP said worst ever. I disagree

I don't think Toronto and Washington suprised anyone. Didn't suprise me.

Also, most everything TOP says is highly exaggerated and usually rooted in pure bias.

Washington was expected to be in the mix. Plain and simple, the East stinks. Then, when you look at the West the East stinks even worse.
