Just saw the Cavs vs Celtics stuff. JR Smith should get suspended 4 or 5 games, that was pathetic. Then to hear Cavs players talking about dirty play, come on man after what JR did?

Boston's play looked dirty to me. Both Cavs plays were dirty. I cant imagine Smith not being suspended a handful of games.

The tricky one is Olynyk. The foul doesn't look as flagrant but it seems pre-meditated and what if it requires months of rehab for Love? The league protects their stars. I'm interested to see his punishment, if any.

I'm not saying KO's wasn't dirty, just weird to hear them talk about Boston being dirty after the retaliations.

Idk that it was premeditated seemed pretty heat of the moment to me. We see guys lock up arms all the time, KO definitely gave it a little something extra. I don't think extent of the injury should factor into the suspension. If he doesn't get hurt we aren't even discussing it.

Right, but that begs the question, do you punish for intent or for the result?

KO is saying he didn't mean it. It's not fair for me to say it was pre-meditated. Tie ups happen all the time, but I've never seen a tie-up like that.

I think you punish intent, though human nature is to factor in result. Also factor in KO's history, which is clean, and he probably doesn't get many if any games. I agree it was more than a normal tie up, but it's almost a freak accident that his shoulder popped out.

Yeah, I was wrong. I didn't think it dislocated initially. I thought it was a ligament thing. Didn't look like enough to be a dislocation.

I wonder if he'll be back soon. It's his non-shooting shoulder, but that doesn't mean it won't mess him up.

Is this something that you have to sit out to heal properly? I feel like you can play through the pain.

I've separated mine and played a few days later, depends on the severity and pain tolerance I guess. I fought in the Golden Gloves 4 days after breaking my nose, so I'm not the smartest case study. Lol

My friend dislocated his while we were playing pick up and he popped it back in and continued to play. We were dumb kids, though. Like a month later that same kid got thrown from and run over by the back wheels of a truck he was riding in the bed of, LOL.

KO definitely grabbed the arm, but he wasn't trying to do anything dirty. Simply trying to stop Love from getting a loose ball. If Love hadn't got hurt it wouldn't even be talked about. What the Cavs did is totally different.

Has every Hawks game been on NBAtv? I don't get that channel and this is one of the few series worth watching.

First round has been mostly a disappointment. The west didn't show up full strength. Dallas is missing Parsons and then Rondo's fiasco. Blazers are banged up and no Matthews. Conley is far from 100%. The Thunder would have been a top 3 seed had they been healthy. Spurs are older and slower.

The west isn't nearly as strong as last year.

Love out the second round and possibly the rest of the playoffs. Ligament and labrum tears and bone bruising.
