2015 NBA Finals Thread

I'd tell David Griffin that I want Thibs as coach if I'm LeBron. Will be interesting to see what they offer Thompson, initial offer was vastly more than he was worth, now they're in a tough spot because they have to offer more.

LeBron now has as many Finals series defeats (four) as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Larry Bird combined in 12 fewer Finals appearances

James is now 2-4 in NBA Finals during his career. Of the 11 players to win an MVP award and reach the Finals at least five times, James and Wilt Chamberlain are the only two with a losing record, each having lost four of their six NBA Finals appearances.

To be fair, Bird, Jordan, and Bryant had an exponentially better surrounding cast than Lebron has had in Cleveland this time or his first time around.

Kerr is the 4th head coach to win an NBA title as a head coach after winning at least 5 as a player, joining Bill Russell, K.C. Jones and Tom Heinsohn. He is also the first rookie coach to win the NBA title since Pat Riley in 1982.

Iguodala scored 25 points in Game 6, marking his only 25-point game of the season. He is the 1st player in NBA history to score at least 25 points in a Finals-clinching win without any 25-point games earlier in the season.

In winning the NBA title, the Warriors became the first team since the 1990-91 Bulls to win the NBA title without any previous NBA Finals experience on the roster. In winning 83 games, the Warriors won more games than any team except for the 1995-96 and 1996-97 Bulls.

I'm much more confident that he'll win another than the Warriors winning another.

The Warriors have a much tougher road through the west, but they made it look easy this year. Their main guys are young too. Depending on how much cap space lebron has to add players, and Kyrie's health, It will be tough to beat the best team in the west

They are going to have to give Green a $12m+ raise.
