2015 AP Bowl Projections

I don't see it that way at all, especially with almost a month to prepare. I'll give Tech credit that they finished very strong last year, but they also lost to Duke and UNC. Their scheme is what makes them difficult to play, not their talent. We are more talented than Georgia Tech and I would expect us to win a tough game.

Stats show GT opponents fair well against them with a month of.prep.

The Vol Fans showed last year, they travel and they spend money on alcohol.

Unless UT is 6-6 again...they will go to a better bowl.

Yeah, really good point, SJT. I think you're dead-on right. That's how they wrote it...and that's how they'll get it wrong.

Balance is going to return to the SEC, with the Vols in the lead role...hopefully strongly supported by Georgia, Mizzou, and (eventually) Florida.

I still think Mizzou fades. No one "tricks" the SEC for long and they still aren't recruiting the raw talent to keep up once UT and UF get back up to speed. I think USCe has potential depending on who replaces Spurrier and how long it takes him to coast out. Rumors of his retirement are already hurting them in recruiting.

IMHO, the SEC is headed back to the future. Three leading the East... three or 4 (TAM) leading the West... then occasional comers and goers.

What's the joke there on Auburn? I think they're the strongest team in the West this year.

Auburn is going to be very good. Malzahn now has a QB that can really throw it. I won't be surprised if Jeremy Johnson wins SEC player of the year. I expect the Barn to win the league and go to the playoffs. I would love for us to have the chance to beat them in Atlanta.

I'd like to see the Vols in a better bowl but it does make me happy not see Alabama in a playoff game.

Not with more than a month to prepare. Option offense is tough to defend, but with a month to prepare, the Vols would get it done.

Tech looked good in their bowl game last year. But with the front we are gonna have, I just don't think they would push us around. We will make their QB live hard because the way Barnett gets up field. I think we would own them on the line.

A string of glowing pre-season predictions inevitably spells disappointment for Auburn. They are ifinitely more dangerous when expectations are low.

Ralph D. Russo, the Associated Press' national college football reporter, is the latest to jump on board with the Tigers in his early bowl projections. The veteran writer has Auburn in the College Football Playoff facing Notre Dame in a semifinal game at the Cotton Bowl.
