Not a game many of us want to remember, but I thought some might enjoy looking back to compare/contrast just how different our offense looks one year later.

Dobbs changes the entire look of Offense. Poor Worley probably would have been better served in a pro style o.

There were some highlights in that game. We showed glimpses of greatness. Just couldn't sustain it. If a few calls went our way it would have been different. The game was much more competitive than the score indicated.

I think I covered all the cliches there, but they are all true.

no dobbs, kamara, wolf, pearson, jennings....really young malone. So much different now. Thomas is at tackle and robertson is also in his first road game. Really aggressive defense will get torched doing that to dobbs. With worley there is no fear.

Good God, that O-Line. I don't miss the zone read that Worley kept 3 times ever.

Kinda hard to understand Vol confidence going into this game after watching that.
Opposite for me. I see how much we've grown as a team. We have an absolute stacked receiving core, a much much better run game, and a QB who can gain extra yards with his feet.

We should feel even more confident this year. Night and day difference than last year.

Two things I noticed off the bat: 1) forgot Pearson was out that game so OU fans have no idea what he's about 2) the shear number of negative yardage plays with all the screens and end arounds that got blown up, seems like our offense is a lot more downhill than that this year.

its amazing we had over 310 yards in offense and we lost what seems like a thousand yrds with negative runs, screens and sacks. This offense is nowhere close to that one in so many ways. Thank god.

The game would have been a lot closer with Dobbs, might even would have went our way. So we keep pretty much everyone that contributed, plus upgraded Dobbs for Worley, Kamara for Lane (lol), Jennings, plus all of the 1st year guys have another year under their belt. Not to mention we have Paul "bring's the pain" Bain on the sidelines this year.

Crazy but I actually feel better after watching that. The INT for a TD would never have happened with Dobbs because he would have easily scored a TD on the second down play. That's a 14 point swing just right there. Instead of the very slow Marlin Lane we now have Alvin Kamara. HUGE difference. OU will see a completely different team Saturday at Neyland, both physically and mentally.

Surprisingly enough, to be honest, I actually feel a little better about this weekend's game now.

I'm still not convinced we'll win (I've been conditioned to expect the worst...), but I do believe we're going to put up a hell of a fight.

Man that was ugly for the most part !

There were SEVERAL plays where Dobbs would have kept on the read and had a big gain. As others have stated, their DEs were pinning their ears back and crashing toward the middle.

On Saturday, it'll be "not so fast my friend". Keeping their DL in check and a step more hesitant will be huge in allowing us to sustain drives IMO...

What I find interesting is the number of yards Hurd gained and the number of passes Worley completed downfield in spite of a terrible performance by the O-line.

wow... after watching this, I am really pleased that Bajakian is gone. We passed WAY too much in this game. It's as if we acted like we were already down 21 to nothing.

Was it because we had a senior and a freshman as RB's? If they got hurt, we would definitely be screwed? We should've just pounded and pounded.
