2014 NC DE Lorenzo Featherston

I think it's time to realize UF is going the way of the Vols circa 2008

cross that bridge next yr not after one bad season. No improvement in product on field next season then I'll panic. More of loss for CU than UF.

I'm not ready to believe that. They need to have a class or two full of four and five star busts, then pull a class or two barely inside the top 25 for me to believe it.

As it stands, i think they are just as likely to pull an Auburn-esque turnaround next year as they are to miss another bowl game.

Tennessee has been historically awful the last six years. None of the traditional powers in the SEC has had such a long stretch of irrelevance in decades. The last that was close was maybe LSU in the late 80's.

I don't think Florida will fall as far as we have.

Probably not as far as we did, but it could still be a long fall. Imo, a lot of how bad it may get rests on their recruiting class. Right now, FSU has thrown some serious body blows to UF in that area.

The one thing UF has going for it is their AD is far more capable than Hammy. Muschamp may or may not prove to be a bad hire, but I doubt Foley repeats the bumblings of Mike Hamilton.

If we really want to hurt UF, we need to get a UT man installed as their chancellor. (yes, that's sarcasm, a tongue in Cheek comment....ewww....nvm)

Actually there has been one much more recent, and that's Alabama. From 2000 through 2007 they had very similar record and had some years where they were down to 3 and 4 wins a year. Had a lot of the same problems, like 3 coaches in 9 months in the mid 2000's like we has 3 in 13 months recently. They were losing to EVERYBODY! They were a joke and even had people like Cowherd (yeah I know) saying they would never be good again. You really can even take it back into the 90's a little with them. They were 26-23 in Shula's time there through 2006, then Saban went 6-6 in 2007. Not far off our Dooley/ Kiffin era. They were down a while, all it took was finally getting the right coach in place. Hopefully that's Butch for us!
