2014 Georgia Forward Phil Cofer

I guess Coach Spurrier is a VFL cause he was a UT fan when he was a kid. I'm sure at some point earlier in his career Saben would have taken the UT job..., guess he's a VFL too

Seriously?

Seriously what? You can't blame Coach Pearl for not coming back when he wasn't given an opportunity. Am I wrong? You can blame him for getting fired but you can't fault him for taking another job when he wasn't given the chance to come back here. How is that wrong?

Cofer on the other hand was wanted here, had the opportunity to be here, would have flourished in CDT's system, but HE CHOSE not to be here. Can you not see the difference?

That's your opinion, Cofer didn't feel that way, I've got no issue with him doing what he feels is best for his future.

And the opinion of many including yourself.

And neither do I but he gives up the opportunity to call himself a VFL and/or bleeds orange because he doesn't. I hold no grudge toward him at all. It's his life, his future and he has to make life decisions that he feels suit him. But he is not a Volunteer and he doesn't bleed orange like many including yourself claim.

Well it's my opinion he does, agree to disagree.

I don't either...but I also don't consider him a VFL either. He needs to do what is best for him but doesn't mean he is a Vol.

I am sure there are some coaches that I wouldn't want to play for, but those are few and far between if they were at UT. I think most of us would consider the school over most coaches- just that kind of attachment to the university.

No one else has a problem with him doing what he feels is best either. People have a problem with him being labeled a VFL. He clearly is not. He had an opportunity to be, and chose otherwise. He's no more a VFL than Darius Thompson.

Again, agree to disagree, it's my opinion.

We're actually arguing over whether this guy should be given the title VFL? Lol slow sports day...

Welcome to the offseason

Honest question....

Is Tobias Harris a VFL?

Absolutely! He left for totally different and understandable reasons. Thompson and Davis left because they didn't like Tyndall or they didn't like the way Cuonzo was treated who knows? But to leave and accept a year on the bench somewhere over coming back to UT as opposed to leaving to be a first round draft pick in the NBA is quite a bit different don't you think?

Tobias played at Tennessee. Most people would have a hard time labeling an athlete a VFL when he chose to play elsewhere. Like you said, everyone's definition is different, but if you took a poll, I'm guessing most wouldn't consider Cofer a VFL. Seminole for Life seems more fitting.

The difference? One never suited up in orange and the other was a Fresh AA, became an overnight millionaire, and still reps the Vols all day, every day.
