2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

He should have been ejected tonight for the slap to Norris Cole's face. I don't care what his effort level is; I just don't know if he'll ever move past the playground-hustle BS and act like a professional basketball player. Larry Bird personally talked to him after Game 5 and he still acted like a jackass tonight. Hope he stays on the Pacers cause I don't want the Hawks going anywhere near him.

It really looked like him hitting Cole in the face was accidental, both Van Gundy and Mark Jackson even said so and they were sitting right there.

The fact that Bird told him to knock the BS off and he continued anyway does have me wondering if that's going to affect how he approaches Stephenson's free agency this summer. For several years it seemed like Bird always played his hand perfectly in building this team, but this year he got just about every big decision wrong, and it's shaken my confidence in him a little. In an effort to make the bench better they ditched DJ Augustine and Gerald Green, both of whom has pretty good seasons. Also, they gave away their first round draft pick to get Scola who turned out to be a disappointment. Then there was the Granger for Turner swap that almost destroyed the whole season. He's got a lot of equity built up, but this season was not Larry Bird's finest hour.

George just didn't have a great game. Of course, nobody really did for Indy.

One thing you always seem to get from Lance is 110% effort. Sometimes, that crosses over into a place where it actually hurts the team. Other nights, it can make him one of the best players in the league. The problem is you never have any idea which version you're getting on a given night. Still, I think he'll be sorely missed next season and I imagine we'll see a pretty drastic falloff in the Pacers win total. They technically have the money to resign him, but I doubt they can do that AND address the urgent need to get more production off the bench.

I'd let him walk and wouldn't think twice about it. Take that money and try to get yourself a PG who can make life easier for what really amounts to a pretty inept offense.

Lance plays hard but he's an emotional wreck on the court.

Pacers write a check they can't cash epic fail considering the great season they had, it's like they are the colts of the nba although more playoff success not getting eliminated in the first round constantly.

Pacers blew more than the wind in Chicago.

Before i say this Russ does it all the time...when are they going to start calling flopping when a guy shoots a jumper and falls down? That **** drives me crazy.

Greg Popovich's obvious contempt for the on court mid game interviews may be the most enjoyable thing about watching the Spurs. It's fantastic.
