2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

Huh...

The only big time pacers fan in here (that I know of) is you and you're too reasonable to dislike. Kinda sucks.

LOL, thanks.

Partly because I'm sitting here watching my team's window slam shut on them before they go into a retooling phase next year, but mainly because I'm pissed that for the third straight year Miami was simply too good for them, I'm going to take a quick break from being reasonable and say "**** the Heat." Every last one of them, especially LeBron, can go suck dirt.

Last year I regarded this series as good versus evil, Rebels vs Empire. I rooted hard for the Pacers. This year I've flipped all the way around and couldn't be happier to see the Pacers finally go away. Team full of choads. Apologies to Smalls.

It's funny because a couple months ago I had about talked myself into hoping the Hawks went hard after Lance Stephenson. The talent is obviously there. But holy damn, now I'd be horrified. That guy is a playgrounder who is never going to get past the playground. He should play in a red poofy wig and a clown nose.

I get that, but at the same time, he was the ONLY guy in a gold jersey tonight who played like he remotely gave a damn. Like you said a few days ago, he's effective in his role with the Pacers as supposedly the second or third most important player on the team, but whoever signs him will likely sign his as their centerpiece. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I don't think anyone will do that.

Four straight nba finals is very impressive for any team. Whatever is going on with the pacers, I'm confident they will fix it and eventually knock down the door. Outside of shoring up the bench and making a decision on lance, I can't think of anything else right now they will do this offseason. The pacers kind of remind me of the thunder in that they are a young, up and coming team. This offseason should be interesting IMO.

And all I a sudden my attention to the WCF is magnified. :) I still think the spurs will win but I fully expect the series to go to seven games.

I could see a team making that reach, which would kill a team trying to build around him. That being said, he can come replace Thabo and I'll be happy as hell. Lol

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Paul George cared and tried hard tonight. He just didn't act like an idiot to make sure everyone knew it. Stephenson's a clown.

George just didn't have a great game. Of course, nobody really did for Indy.

One thing you always seem to get from Lance is 110% effort. Sometimes, that crosses over into a place where it actually hurts the team. Other nights, it can make him one of the best players in the league. The problem is you never have any idea which version you're getting on a given night. Still, I think he'll be sorely missed next season and I imagine we'll see a pretty drastic falloff in the Pacers win total. They technically have the money to resign him, but I doubt they can do that AND address the urgent need to get more production off the bench.

Sucks that game 1 isn't til Thursday. I'll watch the west but as hard as I've tried I'm just having a really hard time getting into that series.

That series is terrible, the home team dominates. I want the Thunder to win, but i prefer fun/close games.

Do you think they'll try to move Hibbert?

He should have been ejected tonight for the slap to Norris Cole's face. I don't care what his effort level is; I just don't know if he'll ever move past the playground-hustle BS and act like a professional basketball player. Larry Bird personally talked to him after Game 5 and he still acted like a jackass tonight. Hope he stays on the Pacers cause I don't want the Hawks going anywhere near him.
