2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

If D Wade ever gets a statue in Miami it needs to be of him getting up off the ground while yelling at a referee. Has to be.

and on cue, he works the baseline when the ball goes to the middle, quickly pump fakes and immediately ducks over for a little flip and using the rim to protect.

Only logical explanation!

Sarcasm

I'm sure there's going to be a game later in the series where LeBron gets to set up shop at the line, and when it happens, myself and the other Pacers fans will have exactly zero room to complain.

Also, I know it's been discussed, but it still boggles my mind why the Heat don't get Birdman more minutes.

Birdman is their Armani Moore.

Losing game one obviously isn't the end of the series. Plenty of basketball left to play. I would like to see the heat steal game two before going back to miami. Being down 2-0 is never a good feeling.

Exactly. The Pacers lost Game 1 against both the Hawks and Wizards, yet here they are still playing. Even so, being up 1-0 feels a hell of a lot better than being down 0-1. I expect the Heat will bounce back nicely Tuesday night. The first 3 quarters this afternoon might have been the best the Pacers shot the ball all season, and they got the benefit of a huge FT disparity. They'll have to step their game up on the defensive end to keep winning. They gave up 96 points today, and they can't count on getting enough offensively to win consistently when the other team scores that many.

Unbelievable. Stunning is the word I would use.

I wouldn't go that far. The Pacers knew this was a must win game and played like it, the Heat knew it too and just let them have their moment. LeBron was not aggressive at all in the 4th. Now if the Pacers go up 2-0, I would probably consider that shocking.
