2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

And he should be, this team's offense is playground basketball at it's finest. He's won games because OKC can out talent most teams, plain and simple. Maybe he's to passive to tell KD and Russ what to do. Idk and idc, this team is what it is with him, time to move on.

Russ isn't a great match w/ KD> They're both great players, but the more i watch the more they don't gel correctly.

KD is the better player but Russ is more alpha dog than he is. KD will defer to him a lot, that has to change. I love Russ' s heart and desire to win, but he just tries to do to much.

Though on KDs scoring streak they were 24-17. So who the hell knows.

These playoffs have been insane. 8 first round OT games, 4 in one series (consecutively). The Pacers are on the verge of completing one of the most epic collapses in NBA history, the vaunted Thunder and their MVP are on the brink of elimination, there's a miniature civil rights battle in LA, and the damn Wizards are probably gonna go to the ECF.

They would complement each other a lot better if Durant would get his ass down on the block more often and play like he's 6-11. IMO.

Nah he's much better just standing in the corner watching Russ or catching the ball 30 ft out. Why would he ever post a guy 8 inches shorter than him? That's just crazy talk.

Russ gets a lot of criticism, and deservedly so, but I don't think people realize sometimes he just doesn't have a choice. When the offense doesn't move and KD just hides somewhere, what's he supposed to do?

Ftr, Russ does take some terrible shots and has lapses of poor judgement. But sometimes when you are the PG of an offense that doesn't have an offensive system, you don't have much of a choice.

Western Conference playoffs are great because every team conceivably has a shot at making the finals, and they are all playing well enough to contend.

The east, on the other hand, is having possibly the worst season as a conference in the history of the league. It's exciting, but as a byproduct of its own awfulness.

How important is this Spurs-Mavs game?

Jesus has courtside seats.
