2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

I would agree he is better at getting production out of players, but I think the Spurs are mostly good at seeing value where others don't. I think George Hill, Dajuan Blair, Gary Neal, and Keith Bogans continued to play on the same level after leaving San Antonio (crazy that these are the biggest names to leave SA in the last 4 years).

Agreed, someone leaves and they just plug in the next guy. His management of his star players is brilliant too. If the big 3 were on a different team they might be done, but the way Pop manages their minutes has added a few years to their careers. Every year we enter the season saying, "The Spurs are too old" yet Pop gets them here over and over.

Tim Duncan recorded his 158th playoff double-double in the Game 4 win, passing Magic Johnson for the most all time.

Tim Duncan passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in his 14th minute of Thursday's Game 4 for the most career postseason minutes in NBA history.

The Spurs joined the 1977 Trail Blazers as the only teams to win back-to-back games by 19 or more points in the NBA Finals.

Off topic, but I saw the LeBron sold the rights to his "power beats" to apple for 30 Million. That's ridiculous considering the money he's already making. There needs to be pay cuts! We're paying athletes way too much money, not to mention endorsements.

Why should there be pay cuts? So the owners can just pocket more cash?

L.o.l

Ok. How about actors? They make too much! Politicians make too much! McDonalds workers in Seattle make too much!

Think about how much money professional athletes are making. Don't you think some of that money could be used elsewhere?

It could probably be put to better use, but the reality is that simply paying players less isn't going to lead to that money bring redistributed to areas of need. If less of it goes to the millionaires who play the game, then more of it will just go to the billionaires who own the teams.
