2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

Lol I was just poking at Ben with the Heat and flavor comment. The crootin was a reference to everyone cheering for auburn, because them winning a title would help UTs recruiting.

When BJ and Ben hang out:

I'm a Hawks fan. I feel like I'm probably pretty objective because it's been 30 years since I rooted for an NBA team that had any prayer of winning the title.

Well I applaud your loyalty, unlike these slimy Heat fans. Pacer fans do whine about officials, but Grizz fans have scouting reports of officials pre game. It's pretty funny.

He's a hawks fan.

Which, oddly enough, strikes me as one of the most neutral ones to be.

I agree, Hawks fans are usually pretty level headed. I think alot of the blame the refs stuff has spilled over from being Vols fans. We are not a very rational fan base.

Every fanbase whines about how the refs hate them, ESPN hates them, Kirk Herbstreit hates them, etc. Normally I just sort of take it for granted and ignore it. But when I read what Pacers fans have been saying throughout these playoffs, there's essentially been no basketball content to it. It's just been a little bit of ROY SUCKS and a whole lot of THE REFS ARE F***ING US. Pacers fans thought the fix was in against the Hawks, when the Hawks are probably the last team in the league that the NBA would care about seeing advance. Their bitter paranoia has been sort of incredible to read.

Unless it's an absolutely horrendous game costing call, I try not to ***** about refs. I just feel like it evens itself out over time. Of course I'm an OKC fan and we get a lot favorable calls sooo. Lol

I haven't been reading what Pacers fans think from looking at VN. I'm certainly not talking about Smalls himself, if that's what it sounded like.

Rooting for the Hawks is like rooting for a mediocre team in a fictional league in a computer game. They don't really even have any rivalries to spice it up. Even the Falcons and Saints had a bitter who-sucks-most thing going in the decades when they were both awful. The Hawks have been in Atlanta for 45 years and Dominique Wilkins is the only interesting thing that's happened the whole time.

You forgetting about mutembo the speedy Goliath?
I don't think there is any debate the saints suck more.
Mocked as the aints, team that the bucs beat to finally get their first win, so awful the embarrassed fans wore paper bags.
The name aints is possibly why ain't got brought up as it's not a word yet people use in a sentence.
Also only team in nfl history that could use a music city miracle style play then have a epic fail with missed extra point.
Also lost to a playoff team with the worst record the Seahawks. Possibly the fastest and worst exit for a defending Super Bowl team.
Also first team the new browns beat to get their first win with a bust qb freakin Tim couch.
This if we're talking historically.
Set a record for one of the worst defenses in 2012.

The Bree's days have changed it for the saints it's sunshine, also they won a Super Bowl but since this was in the bounty gate era that looks very tainted.

So another game of pacers stinking it up.
Game one a damn fluke pacers are 2 inches from the end of the diving board.
Pacers chances of a comeback are very slim, and the whole they'll beat the heat if they had homecourt advantage looking execrable.
One loss away from that being shown as writing a check they can't cash. But the bigger joke is the pacers were the teams you think would challenge the heat the most instead they continue to be a chump.
