We were smoking them yesterday before someone at A&M hacked the poll (seriously). If we can't figure out a way to match their hacking skills, there is nothing we can do.

This should probably be merged, btw.

From the other thread:

Some folks commenting on the site are saying that the aggies are laughing about running scripts on some of their forums. It's giving them 10,000 votes per hour.

We were way ahead and then they started scripting bots. Gave them 10000 votes an hour all night long. The site editors will figure that out or they're idiots. People were complaining about it on the comment section of that website.

After an exhaustive investigation, Athletic Business’ Committee on Voter Compliance has discovered proof that more than 100,000 votes cast on behalf of Texas A&M’s Kyle Field were done so fraudulently. Therefore, Kyle Field has been ruled ineligible from the 2014 College Facility Playoff effective immediately.

AB has long stood for fair competition and integrity. The Committee finds it deeply disappointing that a select few voting on behalf of Kyle Field sought the impermissible benefits of doing such in an unfair manner.

Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium will advance to face the winner of the Sub-100,000 Capacity Region winner. Voting in that match-up will continue until 11:59 p.m. central time Thursday. The Championship match-up will be posted Friday morning.

Glad they figured it out.

This creates an interesting opportunity for cheats: All anyone has to do is create a program that casts tens of thousands of votes against the team they want to win and get the other team disqualified.

The comments posted by Aggie fans after the disqualification note are indicative of a level of stupidity that I can't fathom. I get that it is a meaningless poll but for one Aggie fan to comment that our gameday atmosphere is no better than that of a high school....clearly someone smacked her with the stupid stick.

It says i have voted already, and I didnt

This poll hates us

It told me the same thing and I don't remember voting either. It does say that A&M has been ruled in eligible due to voter fraud, so just like the old Southwest conference member that they are, they got caught cheating!

Kyle Field
Opened: 1927
Last Renovated: 2013-2015
Renovation Cost: $450 million
Capacity: 102,512
Thoughts from the Committee: To put Kyle Field's current $450 million renovation and expansion in context, consider this: Two of the newest and nicest stadiums in college football, Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium (opened in 2009) and Baylor's McLane Stadium (opened this year and in our playoff field), combined only cost about $100 million more than Kyle Field's renovation. That's a long way of saying Kyle Field, already considered one of the best venues in college football before the reno, is now off the charts.
Kyle Field ruled ineligible due to voter fraud.
