So far everyone has Curry, Lebron, and Durant.

BTW Cat, I was so close to taking Harden over CP3.

I'm so glad to see Noah get his due. Really, he's been playing at this level for 4-5 years, but Deng and Rose needed to be out of the way for him to get the recognition. That being said, D Jordan was unreal this year. Matter of fact, he was worthy of most improved, as well.

Agreed on Noah. He's a fantastic player. Incredible motor and pretty skilled overall. I do feel like Rose overshadows him. Which isn't a bad thing for the Bulls as a team, but Noah just won't get the credit he deserves.

Jordan is who Jordan should have been all along. A athletic big capable of making plays on defense and then rebounding on both sides. Offensively he has a long way.

He's never going to be a strong post-up scorer, but that's only one out of 25 things you might want a center to do. He is devastating to defenses because of how active he is. They can't keep him off the offensive glass, most bigs can't run with him on fast breaks, he is one of the best screeners in the NBA, and he's an extremely efficient scorer.

He makes a huge and positive impact on offense and I don't think you could really ask for more.

Monta Ellis went from a terribly inefficient player to solid this year, almost my most improved

Hornacek was my early pick for COY, but if you don't make the playoffs, you are not the COY IMO

Use that same line of thinking in picking your ROY.

Michael Carter-Williams played one of the worst teams ever, his stats are severely inflated.

And how is Dragic most improved?

His game didn't improve really, he just got more opportunity.

All of them are much more suited for that title than Dragic.

That's a fair point. Though i view ROY slightly different than the rest of the awards. The best rook is usually on a bad team, not many are turning a franchise around year one.

Doesn't have to turn the franchise around, especially one that is trying to lose, as that's nearly impossible.

I would be willing to bet that most here are picking him by default, it was an incredibly weak class and there isn't anyone who stands out. MCW has decent numbers but they are inflated and don't hold much value considering the level of awful his team has been all year long.

Thats my point, when i judge COY, MVP or DPOY they have to be on a good team. Rooks not so much.

I'll openly admit i did, i didn't watch a ton of games with the leading candidates.

MVP-Durant

It's a clear cut victory for Durant, LeBron has coasted through parts of the regular season, partly because he can and still be great and partly out of necessity. All the while KD has had the pedal to the floor all season long. He will win it and he deserves it.

DPOY-Joakim Noah

From his rim protection to his ability and willingness to switch on ball screens to smaller players and more than adequately hold his ground, Noah is fearless and that effort is there every minute of every game.

MIP-DeAndre Jordan

This was a tough one but Jordan has taken a pretty large leap forward as a defensive player first and foremost, couple that with him nearly doubling his rebounding numbers from last year to be the NBA's best in that category and I think he's the most logical choice.

COY-Greg Popovich

Most people like to go with a lesser known coach who has taken a bad team the previous year to a playoff team the following year. I'd rather take the guy who is the best coach and somehow, someway making a team who's best players are fossils in the world of sports and leading them to the best record in the NBA. If the East wasn't so atrocious this year Thibs would be a run away choice for me but when you compare the two conferences and rosters, I think Pops has been better.

ROY-Trey Burke

I can't think of a more unimpressive rookie class, eventually some of these guys will be solid role players but I was tempted to leave this blank out of lack of caring.

Comeback Player-Shaun Livingston

They should give him the award every year he is in the league considering his knee is still in the Staples Center somewhere.

6th man-Taj Gibson

Crawford is a hell of a scorer but he's a defensive liability at all times. Gibson shouldn't be up for this award because he should be starting over Boozer but that enormous albatross of a contract prevents that from happening.

Jazz fan here. Burke was terrible and I have little reason to believe he will ever be good, but here's to hoping.

MVP: Durant- Durant had the better year but LeBron is still a better player. Durant's D isn't LeBron's yet, but James took a lot of plays off on D and Durant did better this year on that end.

DPOY: Joakim Noah. GahLee made the point, but it says a lot about Noah's ability to switch and guard smaller players. He is an elite rim protector and great 1-on-1.

MIP: DeAndre Jordan. Become a great rebounder and rim protector.

ROTY: Victor Oladipo. He isn't efficient yet, but he is a really great defensive player and surprising good playermaker.

COTY: Gregg Popovich. Best NBA coach of all time, IMO.

Lol let me guess Phil Jackson? The guy who had the best player in basketball every time he won? And 2 top 50 guys for 9 of them?
