2013 OFFICIAL SIGNING DAY THREAD!!! (first post will be updated)

The Bell family made their decision. It is an old statement, but it is especially true in recruiting decisions, "you are either with us or 'agin' us". Hope VB stays healthy. If you are an area kid and get injured, you will always be one of us. If you get hurt in lovely Ohio, you will just be cold and lonely: and Mr.Sunshine -Urban, will just move on to the next recruit.

I figure in a few days the Bell family will realize what this decision has done to them. Maybe there are jobs for them in lovely Ohio.

Your bringing up him getting injured is beyond ridiculous! No one makes a decision based on what happens if he gets injured? I seriously doubt his family loses their jobs because of this either! Grow Up! The Tennessee fans that give his family a hard time(If there are any besides you) need to find another team to support! We don't need you!
Good luck Von! Hope you have a great career and make it to the NFL!

Somewhat disappointing haul today. Hope this is legitimately Dooley's fault and not an indication of things to come.
When you are given a large budget with which to hire the best possible staff, and instead you just bring along your Big East buds, that tells me something is wrong with this picture.

I understand the OC. A guy who knows your offensive system. No real problem with that. But the OL,TE, DL and DC staff positions could have gotten real upgrades. Instead, Butch wants to reward his 3* staff (his buds) with the money the AD assumed would go to hiring 4-5* staff members. That's dishonest and conniving, if you ask me.

Had he gone out and hired Randy Shannon and Garner, on top of Thigpen and Martinez, then this class would have looked a lot different. Garner can coach and recruit circles around Stripling, but who does Butch hire? His bud.

Today you see the results of those decisions.

Today has made one thing clear....NOBODY on this site has insider information or a clue about what our coaches, administration or possible recruits plan to do. With that said it is very entertaining to read these post and we as FANS say its GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!! bUTchplease

What are our post NSD options? I heard Butch was trying to get a old LSU DT to visit.

Do we have any others that we could invite that have not signed LOI's yet?

I am really proud of the accomplishment of our new coaching staff. They have busted their butts visiting and talking up UT! Based on what they started with and a short time to get there, I think they did a helluva job. I also believe the players want to be here and are excited about the coaching staff and will work just as hard. This coaching staff will coach them up and we WILL RISE TO THE TOP....AGAIN!!!

SOON!

Negative people will always be negative and intentionally look for anything to be negative about and reality evades them unfortunately.

Reality say Tennessee is super rich in traditions and many other things BUT, BUT kids today coming out of high school do NOT care at all about traditions or anything else we have to offer especially if they're not born and raised in Tennessee.

The Reality is that we went from Fulmer to KiffScum to Dooley and now to bUTch in just a few years and our record is pathetic and not even any type of Bowl game in 2 years and kids WANT to go to Bowl games and they WANT to see the ability to compete in a serious way against the best in the SEC and get to bigger and better Bowl games.

Reality says that our once great footVol program is now 1 of the worst in the country and the young kids aren't interested in 1 of the worst programs to try and start thewir dream run to the NFL.

They at least want to know that the coach that recruits them will still be there when they leave because most of them have been around their same High School coaches since the 7th grade.

Freak listed 3 surprise recruits and i'm VERY happy to see that 2 of them are D Linemen because those guys fill serious NEEDS as do many other kids that will be wearing Tennessee orange next season.

bUTch has only been here for 7 weeks and he and all his staff worked their butts off and did the best they could in such a short time with so much stacked up against them and they DID go out and steal the 2nd best WR in the country which was a very good success for our program.

I wanted more 4* and 5* kids too but NOBODY on here knows how many of the kids we just landed might become all SEC in the next 2 or 3 years so sit back, relax and let bUTch get things going for the next 3 or 4 years before you jump off a bridge or act silly on here.

The simple reality is....bUTch will be here at least 4 years no matter what so we may as well jump on the bandwagon and support our coaches and players because I believe 3 years from now we're all going to have a happy day on NSD as we get more Wins and get alot more kids attention.

Remember, we still have some openings so bUTch just might find another kid or 2 that could turn into great footVol players for us.

THANKS to all our coaches that worked so hard!!!

THANKS to all the new Tennessee Vols football players that will be coming to the hill soon!!!

WELCOME 1 and all!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

Malzahn was at Auburn less time than Butch and they took quite a few recruits away from Butch...hope he can coach them up
