Continuity within the coaching staff helps since they have actively been participating in the recruiting process.

CBJ had the difficult task of holding on to recruits that he had no prior relationship and recognizing that some of Dooley's recruits (on both sides of the ball) were not going to be a good fit for his schemes.

You know when you basically have sucked for the last 5-7 years it's hard to get elite players....we fall into the sucked for a while category. Let's see if they can win some games then go from there..

Haven't been around a lot lately but what happened to Kameron Miles and Dominic Zanca?

I did hear that Goeas decommitted but wasn't sure about the two mentioned above.

Bama was in the wilderness for years and went through a few coaches before finding the right fit.

Here is another thing to consider. Think about how hard Kiffin was recruiting for UT right up to the point where he bolted. Now, think about how hard Dooley was recruiting right up until he left. I'd say there was probably a sizable difference in the two efforts.

You do know he's only been on the job for about a month. Blame Hart for not firing Dooley earlier and letting the next coach get to work sooner.

Didn't get enough defensive players, that is for sure. Can't understand why we've got only 1 linebacker given that it's a position of great need.

I'm hoping the thought from CBJ is we need some JUCOs with college-level experience to start day one on the defensive side of the ball.
