2013 NC WR Marquez North (UT signee)

"It went real well. I got to see the facility, it was probably the top facilities I've seen so far. The stadium was huge, it's bigger than the Carolina Panther stadium. I just feels like they breathe football there and have a great atmosphere. I'm going to take an unofficial visit there, because I can just drive there, for a game this season"

Yeah by 30,000 seats.

When did he name the 6 schools? Everything that was being reported was that he loved his visit here and the stadium.

About a week after he visited UT.

You sure about that?

this was the last I saw from him

“Right now, I’m wide open again,” North said. “I haven’t been anywhere, so it’s wide open again for me.”

That’s not totally accurate, but the point being that North has backed off last month’s stated order of Clemson, N.C. State, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

He visited Tennessee last week and doesn’t have any concrete plans for visits in the foreseeable future

paraphrasing next passage:

Want to take an official visit to Miami, even though he hasn’t spoken to the Hurricanes’ staff since being offered May 15. There’s also the chance he makes a return trip to Tennessee during the season.

on Tennessee
The facilities are amazing,” North said. “I just have to go back and see how much I like them.”

Dont expect North to have a definitive decision by end of the summer

“I’m just out with my team trying to build the chemistry for us. So I will probably wait it out awhile.”

You have seen more?

OK Thanks.

I found his answers from the Rivals 5 star challenge. which I think was around the same time as the article I read.

Kinda makes me wonder if he's just telling folks stuff they want to hear.

"Clemson one, North Carolina two, Georgia three, North Carolina State four, Florida five and Ohio State six," North said.

On his finalists:
Clemson - "They are the ACC champs. They are improving. They run an uptempo offense. Plus I connect with (tight ends) coach (Danny) Pearman."

North Carolina - "It's real close to home. They have good academics."

Georgia - "I like how (wide receivers) coach (Tony) Ball coaches his receivers. I've watched practice. He pushes his wide receivers to play to their highest level. Plus I grew up liking them."

North Carolina State - "I like the overall environment. They have humble coaches. They are trying to keep their players instate. They are the most successful program in North Carolina."

Florida - "I don't know too much about them. D.J. Humphries promotes them to me. They have good tradition."

Ohio State - "I don't know too much about them. They have good tradition and a successful program."

He goes on to add that North Carolina and Clemson are recruiting him the hardest. Also, to correct my earlier statement, this article came TWO weeks after his visit to Tennessee, and this article was posted about a week ago.

Good point, he may be.

Jay, don't know if this article was after the article you are referring to, but this is the last I have heard regarding North and UT wasn't in the Top-6.

Marquez North has a revised shortlist, a pecking order he revealed to Tigerillustrated.com several days ago at the first-annual Rivals100, 5-star Challenge.

Marquez North says he may be ready to decide on a college in the fall and winter months.
"Clemson one, North Carolina two, Georgia three, North Carolina State four, Florida five and Ohio State six," North said.

There's a Rivals video on his page that is about some kind of interest in UT.. Anybody see it? I think it has to do with Ferguson's influence.. This guy is on top of my wish list btw..

Other teams that he's interested in will give him an earlier chance to start. I don't think all of our Big 3 will go pro after the season. 1 will stick around imo.
