I agree with LA VOL, it all comes down to, coaches or Fans. Not only has UT lost revenue in ticket sales, the fans that do attend the games are not buying Tn. items at the stadium booths like they once did. One can only speculate what a loss that is!! If we considered the coaches buy out, let say over a 5 year period, and brought in someone like Jon Gruden, I bet we would more than triple, in the next 5 years, what the coaches buy out will have been through butts in seats and memorabilia sales. Even if it costs UT right now, that's short term, ticket sales and UT items bought is long term.

Is anyone content with losing to candy if we know Dooley will be fired?

In the end. No matter how you tally it... It will cost them far more to keep him than to cut ties...

Took the time to read all the contracts. I am not a lawyer but what they seem to say is as follows. The only guaranteed payout contract seems to be for Chaney. Every other contract, including Pittman, Sal, Graham, Conklin, etc. says that they required to use best efforts to get other jobs and if so dollar amounts from these jobs will ofset dollar for dollar amounts due from UT.
