Go on... I am sure Carl Lawson is one of those 4 or 5, along with Cameron Toney. Who else you hearing about?

I'm not getting into specific names, but it happens every year. Last year we got McNeil (Okie State), Taylor (Miami), Meredith (UNC), and Bourque (LSU).

Pretty sure McNeil was never committed to Okie St.

You're right...for some reason I thought he was initially. I still love McNeil's quote about Bama.

"I just visited Tennessee and Alabama," he said. "Tennessee, it went pretty well. I liked the campus and that was my first SEC school so it went well for me. Alabama didn't go so well, I only stayed there for 30 minutes because I didn't too much like it."

Just an interesting question but are we starting to look at the elite CB Vernon Hargreaves III? Said one 247 that he wants to visit this summer

I know it is meaningless at this point, but, there is 10 SEC teams ahead of UT at this point in recruiting. Alabama has 5 top 100 players and UT none according to Rivals.

I love any quote slamming Alabubba. He was already one of my favorite from this class. This just bumped him up a notch.

A question for OCIVol - It has been said that there possibly 2 of the current 12 commitments that would be "recruited over" in future classes. Which of the current commitments do you consider the higher risks? Thanks for posting the list of targets. It is really helpful.

The only player I could see being told to look elsewhere or neglected as the season goes along is Zanca, but he's a great fit for Sal's defense so it's unlikely. It will be a battle hanging onto Barnes because UGA likely offers. I think the rest of the current commits end up at UT.

I'll give you Meredith and Taylor. We didn't "flip" Bourque. LSU was taking Jeremy Hill as the only RB last year. Bourque knew it and had to look elsewhere to keep the options open. Moreover, LSU has Blue on campus, who is very similar to Bourque. It was all pretty much a formality. I don't want to take credit away from the coaches for making him a priority, but...
