This has been and will be a position-of-need for the Vols but one guy I think could have a breakout season is Willie Bohannon. He has been very solid and consistent in the background and always seems to make plays when least expected. He could be a powerful force.

He started playing well later in the season. You are right in that we have to get more production out of our DE's.

Our DE play will get better when we get better play at DT. We need more size in the middle to open up the ends.

Bingo! You tie up a minimum of 5 blockers all of the time with a 4 man rush. A couple of really strong DT's ties up at least one more. The ideal situation is to have 4 on D against 6 on O. That leaves one or two blitzers to have some fun, or much better coverage in the secondary, and/or the ability to contain a running QB better.

I also believe Willie is due... He has shown flashes of being a force, just needs to be consistent IMO.

If we can't recruit the dl we need, maybe we can make some. How about moving Tiny and/or Jackson to DT if they are willing to make the move? If we get McCullers this spring we could play both a 3-4 or 4-3 at will. With our redshirts we have lots of Ol,s. Thoughts?

Ya. We've also got marlin walls coming back along with Cory miller, mo couch, hood, and a couple of newcomers. Hopefully sentimore will be ready to jump right in with his experience. Even though we lose Malik we should still be better at dt. We need jaques to step it up like he's capable of

Tiny and McCullers would be the monsters in the middle of our DL. Jackson is our strongest Vol and would just whoop a$$ from the DT position, I,m about to have an organism just thinking about it!

Bohannon is the perfect example of player development, and is exactly the type of guy that Dooley has not had the advantage of inheriting his first two years here...He's an experienced, developed player at an important position of need.

Anything we get out of a first year guy, including JUCOs, should be considered a bonus. Sentimore may be the exception to the rule because he's played a bunch of SEC snaps.

Bohannon has been solid, it would be a huge bonus for us if he can become a true playmaker.
