I'll give a run down on what i think as of right now. I will be surprised if we lose any recruit that is currently committed, they all seem solid.

Q Davis- I think we're in good shape here. He raved about the stadium and loves the tradition of Tennessee football. He likes the fact we have two potential first round wr's he can learn from that will help him become a better wr.The kid has been recruited by WF for a long long time and academics are very important to him. But in the end, i think hes a vol.

C Patterson- As some of you know, i have friends that work inside other ads, a friend of mine at ole miss tells me that cp told the OM coaches he would be a rebel. Guess what? He has said the same thing to our coaches, while i dont know it to be fact, he probably told the uga coaches the same. If reports surface tomorrow that he has committed to UT/UGA/AUB/OM, my advice is pay no attention to them until weds when the papers are in.

K Kirven- Friday Tennessee was the team to beat, VT had alot of work to do over the weekend and they knew it. CSS is the main reason, Kirven was most likely heading to Bama before the CSS hire. i know thats not what the homerized VT beat writers will say or want to hear, but its the truth.I dont know if they pulled it off or not, if i hear anything tomorrow i'll pass along what info i can. We all know its very tough pulling a kid from that area, and in the back of my mind im thinking Kirvens mom not making it here last week could hurt. Kirven will announce at 8:00am i believe, hopefully gets the ball rolling in our favor.

A Leggett- I think we end up taking this kid. This kid has bigtime talent and would be a great addition to the class.
I feel Tennessee believes they can get him in school and done a great job convincing Leggett as well. Leggett will
most likely make his thoughts public tomorrow.

Nothing earth shattering, just my thoughts 36 hours from nsd. This should be a pretty boring nsd as far as drama goes, i know we're not used to that.

Excellent summary. Too much drama on NSD is usually a bad thing.

First of all, thanks for this recruting update along with all the other updates you give VN. I appreciate the good information.

Second of all, the bolded part. Did you mean to say that Patterson told the OM coaches he was going to be a Rebel? As in he would sign and play with Ole Miss. Or did you type it correct and he told the OM coaches he was going to UGA? Cause that would be pretty telling IMO.

Also, I really hope UT gets Leggett in. He is an unbelievable CB. Could play very soon for UT.

Ill take it.

+1

I am fine with a quiet NSD. If our class was done by January 1st, no drama for a month and all LOI's in by 10am on NSD, I would be happy. While it does not make for alot of drama, it does keep people from taking a header off a cliff. With us losing Santos, I would have liked to got a bigger LB(230-240) to replace him as I think he would have seen PT early on. CP and KK would be huge gets late.

Good catch! I corrected it to Rebel, my buddy within the OM ad heard he was a rebel from the coaches. sry

If true, regardless of what the borderline cases do, this will be a solid class. Lots of upside potential with quite a few solid players who fit needs.

Hope Davis, KK, CP, and Leggett all sign with the Vols. It would make for an awesome finish. But, I thought we only had 3 spots. Of course, I'd take any 3 of these 4, if that's the case. I'll also be happy with any one of them, and can probably find a silver lining if we simply hold the ones we've got. If that's the outcome, it's still a solid year for CDD and staff wrt recruiting.

If they put up 8 or 9 wins this season, which seems pretty likely, the recruiting job should get a whole lot easier next year.

Great work on keeping VN informed, Skeet! Thanks!!

Hope you'll try to throw out a few updaes on Wednesday as the letters start forming a nice little bulge on the Hill!

GBO!!

Oh! Well. That makes quite a difference. Was ready to color him red (& black).

That's exactly what I was thinking. Really glad skeeter changed that up. Because if Patterson would have told the OM coaches that he was going to sign with UGA then that would be very telling. That would basically guarantee him to UGA.

Thanks Rhodes!

This could become four of the best years to be a Vol.

If the program gets back on track, these guys are going to need ear plugs in Neyland. Too many of us have been waiting for far too long to have any chance at holding all that energy back.

IIRC, one of the guys who played in the '90's, but later won a Super Bowl, said Neyland was even better. That's high praise... but I know the ole stadium has got it in her... and that's where the program needs to be.

Why in the hell would patterson want to play with those garbage QB's at ole miss? Talk about a schocker... If he goes there it will be such a waste of talent.

It might not be the smartest decision, but not sure it would be classified as a shocker. If he wants to go somewhere and be the #1 receiver Ole Miss is his best chance.

Hubbs... NSD plans for our watch list...
Leggett ... will sign Wedneday at 9am, but respectively declined when asked about where things stood between the Vols and Marshall.

Davis is expected to announce his decision and sign at noon on Wednesday.

Kirven is expected to sign with the Vols or the Hokies at 8am on Wednesday.

Patterson... didn't know what time he will sign on Wednesday
