actually you were the one that brought up that fact to me. I mentioned RJ in another thread.

only difference is that Austin left

And there's now multiple names of guys we are after that would be eligible immediately. You can only suit up so many guys, if we have a chance to land a consensus top 100 recruits that's a PG you do it, regardless of if he has to sit out a year.

at one time, he was supposedly considering Auburn and Memphis too. Does anyone know if he backed off, or the schools did?

When he left Purdue, Memphis was the name that kept popping up. I honestly think some things opened up at Xavier and U.T., and he could stay closer to home. Auburn came up a few times because he would seem to fit in well with their system. I'm not sure if their was genuine interest on either side.

Could be we got good news on another PG we are in on

My first thought as well, except idk who that would be lol.

Only thought is maybe between Chiles (grad transfer) and Suarez (JUCO USM signee), they feel that's good enough, coupled with Thompson.

I actually agree with that move, Chiles is better at the 2, but is capable at the 1. Gives you a SR, JR, and SOPH point guard on your roster.

Next year you'll have a SR & JR point guard and they did just offer a 2015 PG yesterday, so that may be what they're looking at.

The downside to Johnson was he would have to sit out a year, that might be something they'd prefer to avoid if possible.

I think that i would and possibly is those 2. Which would be solid additions in my book

How good is Suarez? Udgrade over what we got?

He's a true PG.

He's bounced around a lot, came from Puerto Rico, went to a school in Iowa freshman year. Went to powerhouse Findlay Prep his sophomore year and led them to an undefeated season and national title. Transferred for his junior year to a school in atlanta, and then went the JUCO route after he graduated because of grades.

Numbers last year on a good JUCO team...

14.2ppg 36%3pt 70%ft 5.9apg 3.2rpg 2.0a:to
