With Schiano gone, this would seem to open the door a bit...only bad thing is Lambert has no OVs remaining. Coaches may pay him a visit if he indicates he's willing to listen.

Damn if Rutgers coach is gone that probably means Hamilton is going to Florida. Jesus, their D-line is loaded.

Anyone know if this guy is opening up his recruitment?

Apparentely he says he is still committed to Rutgers, but is going to get in contact with his final 3-6 schools to see what they have to offer. Were we ever really in on him? Everything that I have read stated that his final 3 was Rutgers, Nebraska, and Iowa. I wouldn't be to confident, if I was a Rutgers fan.

Don't even see us in the equation, but like Tide said, it is only because CSS that there would even be a conversation.

Ya, it's a long shot, but CSS has put some LBs in the NFL, and Tide said QN really liked him, so I'm curious if CSS goes after him.

If this happened it would be amazing. Lambert is a very good prospect and w/Santos waivering (who knows) it could be solid.

I agree, but it is such a tough call. Do you look at in the view of the university, or the recruit? The university would love for the coach to continue to recruit and remain until after signing day. As a recruit, if the coach bailed shortly thereafter (signing day), it would be pretty lame. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but it is such a difficult decision for the timing of an announcement like this. :hmm:

Would be an amazing get this late in the game to replace Santos if he flips. But since he doesn't have anymore OV's left and has never been to UT I can't see it happening. However, his coach is gone at Rutgers and he apparently has a very good relationship with CSS, so I guess anything's possible...

Maybe he will be willing to come on his on dime. Who knows he could be here by tonight or tomorrow. We can always hope.

Only thing I could see is if he cam on an unofficial visit at some point.

Longshot, but possible.

True, it's only about an 11hr drive. Hopefully he's interested enough to hop in his car and head south for the weekend.

Got a question for all of our resident NCAA rules gurus. Does anyone know if Video Conference calls are allowed in recruiting? Maybe Skype? It's not the same as a visit, but it's not too bad.
