$7 on 7 for $400

Sorry to hate, but another $7 thrown in the trash.

Why not try a couple of 2 leg parlays or a 3 leg?

Very nice! I'm at 5dimes but may start shopping lines at bovada

hmm, it was a joke. I'm up $5 in two weeks...
I will assume you were being sarcastic as well.

I dont really like bovada on college lines, they didnt get released until like tuesday or wednesday last week. I wanted Vols at pick em, but it was already at -3 by the time it was open. (not that it would have mattered)

A friend is on betus.net I think it is, seems like it might be better. Bovada also takes 4.9% for every deposit made, that didn't used to be there.

I should used /sarcasm, but being up $5 is better than down $5 I guess. My problem is that I'm 8-4 in NCAA and 2-6 in NFL

Looking at this weeks spreads, only one in the top 25 is below 10, that's notre dame v. Michigan at -6.5, at nd, I feel is low. I think the Oregon spread is high, and I like Missouri in an upset over sc as my early thoughts.

Just looking over the lines some games I like very prematurely are

Oregon -23.5
Mizzou +10
West Va. -28

These are some big lines but I would feel fairly comfortable making these bets

Connecticut -1.5

North Carolina -17

Missouri +10

-
Colorado +18.5
-

-
Southern California -16
-

-
Louisiana State -20.5
-

-
Rutgers +7
-

-
Troy +0
-

-
Notre Dame -5.5
-

-
Vanderbilt +16
-

-
Kansas State +14
-

-
Clemson +14
-

-
Arizona State -7

I already laid $ on Lions - 3. Titans are just terrible...

..my luck they'll break out this game and win by 21.

Edit: Lions - 3.

No way we can run the ball against their front 7. I see this being another game where we are down 4,7,10 points most of the game.

Exactly why I laid $ on DET. Got it at 3, thats gotta go up.

Edit from earlier: Lions MINUS 3.

Looking at NCAA lines.

I like Mizzou +10
Clemson +14
Kansas St. +14

Those are big #s for good teams.

lol, sure it is.

4-1 last week was nice. 4-1 if I had bet a 5-game parlay, not so much. easy math.

Evidently not. You risk losing $5 on a parlay & a lot more straight lining. If you're not putting $50 or more on each bet straight lining what's the point? Go 0-5 & let me know about your easy math.

that's the point... i didn't go 0-5. i went 4-1, so with a $50 bet and 10% vig, I won $130. $130 > $0.

the odds of hitting a 3-team parlay is 7-1 yet the payout is only 6-1. you're already at a 17% loss when playing this way over time.

i have a lot more fun going 3-2 or 4-1 doing single-game than going 3-2 or 4-1 on a parlay.

Sounds like you should be a professional gambler & drop a dime on 10 games a piece every week. One bad week for you & you may lose more than I could in a couple years or more whereas I take a fraction of the risk but can reap a lot more reward. I spent $24 this week with a chance to win $1000 on various parlays. If you wanna win $1000 you gotta put up $1000 plus the juice whatever it may be where you bet. You say you went 4-1 last week but I'm sure that's as bad as you ever do.

whatever gets you off.

personally, i see no joy in wasting $25 per week. IF you're even somewhat decent at picking games (which with your recent 7-game you posted on here, you aren't) then the max, on average, you can do is to lose about $65 over 15 weeks. Again, that's IF you even break even on the odds of a THREE game parlay. You're wasting money on a seven - which just raises your net loss even more.

it's ok, though; one day you'll realize it's a waste. I used to put a couple bucks on a few parlays thru bodog when I was in college. Once I discovered what an idiotic bet it was, I stopped.

I have hit quite a few 7 on 7s & a ton of 5 on 5s. I almost alway win more than I lose & can't count the times it came down to that 1 last game. That's whats fun to me. Last year was the first year I got skunked. I'm doing it for the fun not a means to an end just like I don't mind dropping $5 on powerball tickets when it gets up over $100 mil. My odds are however better with my parlay. I'm sorry you suck at parlay. Just straight line 5 games at $5 a pop.
