Do you not understand that Pearl will not keep people around the program who have behavioral problems, especially that are unethical. They even lied to the police, but then later admitted they lied. Unacceptable behavior that Pearl will not tolerate.

Yeah I guess that's why I was surprised Brian was only suspended for those 7-9 games (i don't remember exactly how many). I was expecting a suspension for the season, if not expulsion.

Didn't know he committed that crime, your right I wouldn't take him. Although, I also wouldn't say he cannot play a lick, he was only a soph last year on a Wake Forest team that had a lot of quality frontcourt players. The guy was highly recruited and played much harder competition than John Fields, who I believe will struggle in the SEC.

I think Fields will be a solid contributor this season and will allow Kenny Hall to play some minutes at the 4 which is where he belongs. This team can go big, or go small with solid effectiveness. Something not many teams in the country have the ability to do. I am ready for the first tip!!!

Go Vols!!!

Great! According to scout and rivals, it looks like he's a Kansas lean. Hopefully we can change his mind.

In addition to 2011 5-star SG Ben McLemore, it looks like 2011 5-star SF DeAndre Daniels, 2012 5-star PF Jarnell Stokes and 2013 5-star SF Jonathan Williams will also be on campus this weekend according to The Recruit Scoop.

That's a huge upcoming recruiting weekend for us. We really have to put the full court press on DeAndre Daniels. I've never heard of Ben McLemore, how long have we been recruiting him? In regards to Tony Woods, he is enrolling at Louisville, so it's safe to say he doesn't suck. We badly need a Center next year, but we should never take someone with a serious criminal arrest incident on their record.

Heh.

With all due respect, "lying to the NCAA" and "beating up your girlfriend" are worlds apart.

No, it isn't. Have you seen Louisvile's post options? If you're over 6'6" and breathing, you constitute an upgrade over what they have to look forward to in '11-'12.

Rob Lewis said it is highly unlikely McLemore makes it in for a visit.

It's highly irrelevant if he does or doesn't. Tennessee isn't getting him. Looking more and more like this class is going to be Jones and Ware in the fall, then see what's out there in the spring.

I agree, and if that's true we're in a medium amount of trouble in 2011-12. Our post rotation gets pretty thin that year. We'll be vulnerable to a big, physical team, unless some combination of Harris/Hall/Maymon/Woolridge can play better interior defense than I expect.

For the most part, their entire roster is atrocious. Little Ricky is hurting after losing 3 big recruits in the last 3 weeks.

I said it before and I'll say it again. He should have gone after St. John's or Rutgers. He desperately needs a change of scenery.

What's the deal with him, Hat? They've got their new arena, and he's a hall of famer without a doubt. I just don't get it. Is it the scandal or what, in your opinion?

I think his act has just grown stale there. Time to move again.

Yeah. Louisville's move to get Pitino was supposed to be the changing of the guard, and the end all to Kentucky dominance in basketball. When that pipe dream didn't come to fruition, things have slowly fell apart piece by piece. The scandal and Cal's arrival are the cherry on top of what was already a melting sundae.

It was a changing of the guard until Cal arrived. Louisville was clearly the better program. But you're definitely right; it seems Cal's arrival has really, really hurt Pitino.

Easy now on the scandal talk. No one is squeaky clean.
