i dont follow hoops recruiting but i pulled up the new rankings on espn.com and see that we have 2 committs in the top 100. that is pretty awesome to me. do you guys agree or is it not enough, due to Kentuckys class? ill hang up and listen.

If Cal does not win titles with the talent, he will go down as one of the worst coaches in terms of Xs and Os and player development in the history of the game.

Yeah, I'm 70% on board with that argument. Just like last year, young amazing talent doesn't always win out against experienced good talent, especially in a one and done tourney format. Counting the final fours (that actually don't exist), Cal will probably end up having been to 5 or 6 Final Fours before its all said and done. If so, even without a title you can't label him as one of the worst X and O coaches IMO.

However, It is obvious that he is lacking in that area, with last years regional final against Huggins (and his track record against him) as the prime example. He will be considered a huge dissapointment by many without hanging a NC banner, and there's no arguing that.

Has there been any ruling on Kanter btw? You would like my fantasy basketball team's name this season... "Bledsoe's A grade"

My league is run by a UK fan so I had to throw a tiny jab. Of course his team name is "Pearlnocchio" so its all in good fun.

Half my family is from SE Ohio and are UK fans, but I have done a nice job of converting several of them. We always meet up for the UT/UK football games as our family reunion. Had between 13 and 26 seats together every year for the last 4 years and it is a blast. Commonwealth was HOSTILE last year after the game. Several fights... I was singing "Silver Bells" hahaha

Go Vols!!!

Then they were obviously not real fans. :)

As for Kanter, still no decision. He had been practicing with the team on a 45 day waiver from the AA' while they determined his status. His waiver ran out early last week, and right now he cannot practice and will not participate in Midnight Madness.

However, UK has petitioned the AA' for another 30-45 day practice waiver, which would allow him to once again participate in all activities other than games.

I *****ing hate Ashley Judd. If I were a UK fan, that would drive me absolutely insane. Honestly, UT doesn't have anything better. We're associated with equally ****ty recording artists.

That movie she got beat half to death in was pretty good. Almost as good as "Drowning Mona" the movie where Bette Midler got killed off :)

You guys think we would be interested in Tony Woods, who left Wake Forest this week and will be a Junior next year. He is a 6'11 Center from Rome, GA.

kanter played pro ball in europe and made six figures.there is no way he should never be allowed to play for kentucky or any other collage

OK, I'm not trying to derail this thread, but doesn't Woods's crime seem worse than Tyler Smith's? Woods kicks his gf or whatever to the ground, in front of their kid, and she sustains serious injury. Tyler is caught with an illegally owned gun (which is VERY VERY bad), but possession was his only crime. I'm just saying that Wake only indefinitely suspended Woods, Smith immediately got the boot. I could be delusional from waking up just a few minutes ago, IDK. But yeah, a 6'11 junior 5 points, 3 rebounds:

Do you not understand that Pearl will not keep people around the program who have behavioral problems, especially that are unethical. They even lied to the police, but then later admitted they lied. Unacceptable behavior that Pearl will not tolerate.
