Butch Jones obviously wont be fired this year, but as I sat in disbelief at what I was watching I finally realized that what I was witnessing was that same moment that Derek Dooley had when he inexplicably lost to Kentucky in 2011. Butch has lost his team completely. The Preston Williams incident makes so much sense now once you take off the orange colored glasses. Dave Hart retiring now makes more sense. He wants no part of the dumpster fire thats coming and he doesnt want to take responsibility for the CBJ hire. The next sign will be that every player that could be eligible for the NFL draft will leave, like rats jumping from a sinking ship.

The parade of excuses will prevent this dead limb from being sawed off. The program will flail around for another 2 years before the inevitable will finally happen.

I'm sure that whatever remaining sunshine pumpers will blast me. Thats fine, I really could care less. I dont blast other users on a forum that is designed to express your opinions about the team, not other forum users. Asking sunshine pumpers to use logic and reasoning is like asking a 4 year old to do calculus.

There are no more excuses. I try to stay positive and support the team through thick and thin. Injuries played a big role in the loss to Bama -- but a better game plan could have kept the score respectable

This team has quit - losing to a HS QB is as bad as losing to a WR playing QB. I've hated our offensive schemes from day 1 -- it's boring and not effective. The only time we move the ball is when we've fallen way behind and basically scrap the plan and just play like our hair is on fire. Start the second string offense next week for experience -- they cannot do any worse than our our usual hurry up and punt (or the new wrinkle this year of hurry up and turn the ball over)

Only one thing, Dave Hart is being forced to retire. He wanted an extension but UT didn't oblige.

I hear ya...

Whatever the excuses, it's just hard for me to get my head around losing to USCe considering their talent (or lack thereof) and youth as compared to UT. The VT and UF games were solid wins. But...

The UGA (hail Mary) and Appy State (their missed FG at end) fall solidly in the "luck" category rather than the "coaching" category.

So basically in the "should be" year of 2016......considering what I just said, CBJ's coaching is really 3-5.

And, both the VT and UF games started horribly. They havent played a single solid football game since last years bowl game. This team has somehow regressed with more experience.

I don't know how you keep recruiting good kids either. I mean, the "you could be a part of something special, the revival of Tennessee football" is hard to sell when you have back to back top 10 recruiting classes, a senior QB and you still don't win the games that you're supposed to.

Time to cut bait before this gets worse IMO...I was at the Kentucky game when we lost and it was blatantly obvious that the team had quit on Dooley. If Dobbs is still starting next week, I highly doubt this team plays to it's ability.
